I love Angelina, Annora, Athena and Alessandra. I don't fins Alessandra OR Angelina over the top at all.
Afton has always sounded like it would be a brand of tampons or feminine napkins to me. NO Idea why, that's just always what I think of.

thaliagrace, Annabeth is cute, but it's a smoosh of mine & my sister's names so it wouldn't work for me as a first name. I guess "Thena" could be an ok nn. for Athena.
I love Avonlea from Anne of Green Gables, and I think the connection to that would be great for a young girl or even an adult. I'm usually really against names that aren't real names, but this one I just can't seem to let go of. It seems like most of y'all aren't totally against it... I may try to work it in as a middle name. If only I could find a first name I like with it!
Athena seems to be the favorite. I'm glad Acacia and Annora / Honora made it to a couple more lists.
flick, I started to love Afton only because of the song / poem "Flow Gently Sweet Afton." I found a really sweet version of a guy playing only mandolin & singing that song. But since that's the only thing making me hold on to it... & it seems to be one of the least favorites from my list, it's slowly on it's way out.John 3:16

I'm partial to Amalia. That is the name of a dear family member of mine who is sweet, kind, generous, and loving (can't say enough good things about her). I like the nn Lia (prn like Leah) to go with Amalia.
The other name on your list that I like is Angelina. Minus the Jolie connection, I think it's a beautiful and feminine name. And, because I love a good nn, I like shortening it to Lina/Leena.
I also have to give a shout out to Artemis. I'm not sure I like it as a first name, but I do like that my name (Diana) is the Roman version of the Greek Goddess Artemis. I've always thought the Greek Mythology connection gave my name a "cool" vibe

aj_bear, thanks for responding again! I do like Thena as a nn. I'm a nicknamer so I'm sure I could come up with something, even if it doesn't go with the name.

diana_m, I'm so happy to see love for Amalia! It's (usually) my favorite from my list! I also like Lia as a nn. for it, as well as, Mali / Molly. Since I don't immediately think of Jolie, I still think that Angelina is usable. Lina is my favorite nn. for it too. I'm not a fan of "Angel" names in general, but I do really like this one.
Artemis is a little too out there to me... I just don't care for the sound of it, though it does look nice.
Thanks everyone! Keep posting y'all!

Afton isn't getting much love on your post but it is my favorite for sure. I plan to use it someday

Acacia is my favourite of yours, but I like nature names. I also like Azalea, which is a bit like Avonlea but a bit softer?
Alessandra is second favourite but I prefer Alexandra and...the very obscure Alexandrina. I guess I like x's? Alessandra makes me think of Sandra, which I don't care for.
Athena is pretty but in terms of goddess names, I adore Aurora.
