Do these names sound too much alike?

That's okay- I did ask for opinions
.
I honestly don't see how using a name like Elliot or Elijah or Elias but calling him Eli would solve the problem. We'd still be calling out "Levi and Eli". And I had suggested those names to him before, but he didn't like them....
Of course, this all may be a moot point, as we may not be having another boy (don't know what the sex is yet)Proud Mama to Levi 8/21/10

I agree that naming him something else and calling him Eli doesn't solve the problem. And unfortunately, I do agree that those are too similar. What about Ari? I knew a guy named Ari (full name) in college and it really grew on me and now I love it. And it's sort of similar to Eli, but different enough. Just a thought. I'm sure people who are better at this sort of thing will give you lots of suggestions soon, though, so no worries. Berries are great that way.

I'm sorry, I think they're way way too close for names of brothers!! Even naming him something like Elias or Elliot and using Eli as a nn is the same issue - Levi and Eli! Though I love both names on their own, you already have Levi, so I'd leave it at that, and find a distinctly separate name for your brand new little being!

Much too close. I'd call him Elliot and use the full name.

I like simple names, not too popular but not too out there either. I also like names that can't be shortened.
