Beautiful names, my first daughter is Ivy fae and i'm desperate to add Ophelia, so she'll be Ivy Fae Ophelia.

My favourite name for second daughter is Iris Wren Persephone but as Ivy Fae and Iris Wren are to similar we are going for Iris Wren.

i think the suggestions of Wren Aurelia or Fern Aurelia are perfect as sister to Iris Ophelia, same style whilse not being matchy. Both would go with Serephina as well.

We appear to have similar naming styles so i'll give you the other names i considered.

Calla, Aria, Pearl and Briar. Looking forward to hearing what you go for when the time comes.

Absolutely not. I would say, hands down, that it is more important to give a second daughter a first name that you truly love (and therefore she will most likely love as well), regardless of her sister's name, rather than a name you like almost, but not quite, as much just because it happens to be short like Iris.

That said, I do think Iris and Aurelia work rather well. One is from Greek mythology, the other from Roman aristocracy. They both featured on my Modern Antiquity list: http://www.britishbabynames.com/blog...antiquity.html

    Other suggestions:

    Aida
    Anais
    Blythe
    Cecily
    Delphine
    Elettra
    Fleur
    Hebe
    Juno
    Lelia
    Lilias
    Mella
    Opal
    Orla
    Pearl
    Sylvie
    Thalia
    Verity
    Willa

BTW, I love you daughter's name. Especially the inspired nn "Io"

I agree completely about not having to stick to short name for daughter number 2. We considered Ember & Violet as names for daughter number 2, number one is Ivy Fae.

I LOVE elea's list, especially Iris & Opal, Opal Seraphina is dreamy xx
