More Tombstone Finds
Here's a mix of male and female names that I found in another graveyard online. I'm into history, genealogy, and obviously NAMES, so I often find myself browsing random American graveyards online. Some of these are names we've all heard but that struck me as interesting for the 1800s. As to gender, your guess is as good as mine.

Do you use www.rootsweb.com to find your tombstone lists? I go there often and also www.ancestry.com.
Anyway, love your list! So interesting the way people named their children. BTW - I know a little baby girl named Greenlee.

Unless I am mistaken these names are from the 1800s and naming traditions were very different then than they are now so I don't think you can compare these names to ones we use today and call them tacky. FWIW Wealthia is a far from unheard of, there is a character with the name in the novel "Canal Town" by Samuel Hopkins Adams. It's set in the 1800s as well.

Clara Lou - this is cute. Would have prefer Clara Louise.
Docia - this is cool to see
Elden - Alden / Elden have been on my radar lately for boys.
Electa - cute
Errol - this makes me giddy, so cute!
Flossie - I WANT to like Flossie, but all I think of is my mom referring to my thong underwear as "butt floss" when I was a teen. omg, I just can't shake that association, as much as I want to.
Goldina - this is actually kind of cute. I love Goldie as a nickname.
Junius - this is cool.
Mitta May - Mitta could be so adorable, I could do without the May.
Parmelia - this is adorable!
Petronilla - cute!
Very interesting list! Thank you!

Fwiw I googled "Wealthy Anne" and so far have come up with 4 different people with this exact name all from the 1700 or 1800s so maybe it held some significance?

Does Amicia rhyme with Alicia? If so, I really like that.
