    Camille

I am due in November so I am heavily working on a name. We are not finding out the sex so I am having a hard time coming up with anything that I love! I came across Camille again and it is starting to grow on me. I have 3 other kids and it seems they need a nickname for everyone so I have been really thinking about that lately. I was thinking either Cami or Milly as nickname for Camille. Are there anyother ones that you have come across. I would like to nip this in the bud before someone starts using a nickname I am not fond of.

Cami or Milly would definitely be the most obvious nicknames. You might get a little spelling variation (Camy, Millie) or maybe Mil (although the Mil sound is stronger in Camilla than in Camille, Camille I would think Cami first).

I knew a Camille and some people called her (along with the above) Cam or Cammers. Her mom called her Mimi. Someone actually recommended Camille to me today for our expected girls name, without knowing that Camilla was on my short list.

I like Camille! It's a MN on my top 3. I would likely use just Camille, but besides Cam/Cami and Millie, I've also heard Mia and Callie.

    Good luck!

I think Camille is cute. It's a bit of a stretch, but what about Lily or Cayley? I know Cayley's trendy, but as a nn I don't think it's so bad.

Me too. I've always loved Camille, and would use Cami, Milla or Mimi.

I love the name Camille! It is so classy and girly to me : ) I know a few Camilles and none of them go by any nn's. The only ones I can think of are the two you mentioned.

While I much prefer Camilla over Camille, I think that Cami is a very cute nickname for Camille!
