    Erin

For more than 10 years I swore if I had another daughter she would be Erin.
I like simple yet pretty names, and having nns isn't a huge factor for me.
Just the last 2 years I started playing with new ideas, because I started thinking Erin might seem dated. It was never a huge top of the charts name really. Sister is Brooke.
What do you think of Erin?

I like Erin. And I think Erin and Brooke compliment each other well.

If you really still love it- use it.

Personally, I feel like it's very dated. I'm 26 and I had about 3 Erins in my year alone so it screams 80's to me, but as I said, if YOU love it, that's what matters

I have only ever met one Erin, and she's 14. Erin was never particularly popular in Australia.
Just curious- what names would people match with Brooke?

Thanks for your thoughts jdm24. 80's huh... LOL I do love it, but also have some new fresher ones up my sleeve- perhaps the 'new' ones are tomorrow's Erin's?

Rylane- thanks, I realised recently that both my other girls start with a Letter then r name- eg Brooke- and Erin matches that pattern- whereas other names don't- not sure if it matters though.

I think Erin is a lovely name, and I don't consider it dated. Actually, I've never known an Erin. And I think it goes very well with Brooke.

Yes there were Erin's in the 80s.... but I think it was chosen for its Irish roots... I love the name Erin! Short and sweet and it goes lovely with Brooke. Also, I love both Erin's I know!

Erin is a beautiful name, and I've never thought of it as dated. I have a friend by the name, Erin. Plus, I have two cousins that are very close and their names are Brooke and Erin! I think both are classy names.

FWIW, I really liked all the Erins I knew/know too!

Also, the Irish roots point is a good one. I lived in Sth West Victoria which was full on Irish catholic dairy farming country so that could explain a lot!
