My husband's story:
My future husband's name is Jeremy Malcolm Danvers. He is two years older than me; he was born on November 15th, 1991. He was born and raised in Seattle, Washington by his parental grandparents, Amelia Rose Danvers and Edward John Danvers, in this house: http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-6319...ban-house.html. His parents, Malcolm and Kyra Danvers, were killed in a car accident when Jeremy was five. After he graduated high school, he moved to Burlington, Vermont to attend the University of Vermont. He wanted to studied sociology and liked the idea of being a teacher.

How we met:
When I was a freshman in high school, my school did this pen-pal service with other schools across the country. We wrote letters and sent them out, and they were randomly given to other students in other high schools--Jeremy, who was a junior in a high school in Seattle, got my letter and I got his. For the next year and a half, we wrote letters and e-mailed back and forth, sent a few pictures to each other, too, even after the program ended. We had so many things in common; there were things that we told each other that we hadn't told other people. However, towards the beginning of my junior year of high school, the letters gradually began to disperse and the communication died down.

The Reunion & First Date:
Six years after Jeremy and I had fallen out of contact, I had graduated from King's College and had moved to Montpelier, Vermont to accept a job offer as a staff writer for a magazine. Dakota, one of my closest friends from college, was from that area and the two of us had bought a condo together. At this time, Jeremy himself had just moved to Montpelier a few months before. In mid-October of 2016, on a Friday morning, Dakota and I stopped in at a local Starbucks for a craving of pumpkin spice coffee and pastries. While Dakota was waiting on her latte, I sat myself down at a table with my cappuccino and danish. I started people watching and one guy there in particular caught my eye: a tall, lean guy, with straight black hair and bright dark blue eyes. My brain then began to tick and suddenly, I blurted out his name: "JEREMY!"

He turned (along with another guy) and I swear his eyes lit up when he saw me. He said my name--"Jillian?"--and I called out "yes!" He came over, sat down across from me, and we started talking. We talked so much that I had forgotten Dakota was there and that we were going to be late for work. Then, the next thing I know, I'm making plans with Jeremy to meet with him again the following night. It was a classic dinner and a movie thing. We had dinner at a local, casual restaurant, Ruby Tuesday's and went to see a murder mystery movie (he actually remembered the kind of movies that I like!). I saw him again the following weekend and before that we spent the week texting or talking on the phone.

Reece Langston Hastings was born in Dallas, Texas and raised by his aunt and uncle. He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time riding horses with his uncle. When he turned 18, he traveled across the country to attend college in New York. He decided to major in Public Policy with the goal of later going to law school. While at college, he met Juliette Hastings and fell for her like a rock. The two started dating after they met in an Astronomy class. For their first official date, they went to a horror movie (her choice) and then went out for pizza.

Ross Benjamin Harrison was born August 17 in Seattle, Washington. He was raised by his gradparents Opal and Wallace after his parents died in a car crash when he was 9 months old. He has two older sisters named Danica Rose and Annabel Tess. I learned that he attended Lynchburg college in Virginia, where in majored in Public Education and wanted to be a teacher like me. I packed my bags and moved to Ross' hometown of Seattle so he could be close to his family again.

My husband is Carlton Evan Cooper, but everyone calls him Coop. He was born May 18th in Austin, Texas to an unwed teenage mother, Linda Chevy Laurence. Her parents were furious when they found out she was pregnant with him, and they wanted her to give him up for adoption, so she asked her older brother Ray Michael Cooper and his wife Tess Lorena Cooper to adopt him. They said yes immediately as they couldn't have children of their own. His middle name Evan is after Linda's middle name Chevy. He's known she was his biological mother since he was a teenager, and all three of them are a big part of his life. Coop has no siblings. After high school he attended college at University of California - Berkeley to study medicine. After college we both moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to do our residencies at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as I am a neonatal surgeon and Coop is a pediatric oncologist. He asked me out in the cafeteria at work, and I said yes. The first date didn't go so well - we went out to dinner and ended up not even getting through the salad before both our pagers went off! But we agreed to a second date at a local fair which went very well.
