My story:
My name is Jillian Elizabeth Benson. I was born in Santa Barbara, California on January 19th, 1993. My parents are named John Michael Benson and Dorothy Marie Benson. My mom was young and couldn't handle motherhood. She divorced Dad when I was three and moved to Seattle. Dad raised me on his own in the same townhouse he's lived in since his bachelor days and never remarried. I don't see my mom very often, but I know she did remarry a guy with children from a previous marriage.

I am very close to my dad. So, it bothered him that I decided to go across the country to attend college. My dad has cousins who live in New Hampshire and we visited them often while I was growing up. I always loved the state and I decided to apply, and was accepted into, Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH. I'm studying English as my major with a creative writing concentration. I want to be a novelist.

My name is Madeline Grace McElhaney. I was born September 15th, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. When I was less than two months old, my parents were killed in a tragic car accident. My godparents (and aunt and uncle), Louisa Marie and Andrew David McElhaney, took me in. They had a two year old daughter, Bridget Elizabeth, who eventually became my sister. My Uncle Andrew worked at a well-to-do law firm and my Aunt Louisa was a stay-at-home mom for Bridget and me. We had a fun, easy childhood going to a Catholic elementary school and a prestigious public high school. At an early age, I started to develop an interest in crafts and art. When I could, I persuaded Bridget to draw all kinds of pictures with me. As I grew up, though, and began to learn about different kind of art, I realized I really liked painting.
