I must second Phoenix. I love the sentiment of the Phoenix rising from its own destruction, and it's a cool and hyper-modern middle for a very traditional first. Thoughts on the list:
Jett - ehh- Not my favorite on the list, but still a great option. It flows well with Theodore.
Ace - cheesy?- Nope. I like this, but it's also not my favorite.
Axel - too harsh-shounding?- No, I love Axel and it's great with the soft and traditional Theodore. It's like the cooler version of Alex.
Zane - bit popular in the UK right now- so what? It's a middle.
More, sorry for repeats:
Pax
Zeke
Kenzo/Kenzie
Cairo
Ozias
Blaise
Casimir
Ziggy
Huck/Huxley
Desi

Theodore is my number one for another boy! Love it! If I could pick anything to go with it, I would strongly consider Ezra or Dashiell. Really cool, underused literary names. Love em! If that's not your fancy, Pheonix is cool too. I also liked the suggestion of Blaise. I've always found Blaise to be a super cool name.
Current loves: Theodore & Rosalind

I love all the Rex (T-Rex!!!), Jax, Phoenix names but can't have an X name as the surname sounds like Hendrix-Kuma, really hard sounds if you say it all together! K and S names aren't ideal either unfortunately.
LOVE the idea of Rogue or Danger but not sure I'm brave enough. Axel I like and surprised to see the love for Atlas - not sure my friends would approve! Jude is a good option, not as cool as the others but I quite like that he could be TJ. I wish there was a shorter word for Maverick, what words mean daring, cheeky, brave, bold?Mama to the awesome Milo Edward.

Atlas is pretty nice.
Wolf is my brother's middle name and he has always liked it. I think he likes it more than his normal first name actually. Don't know that it counts as bold though, it was a great-granddad's name. Other people have said it is though.
I have a friend with the middle name Danger and he dislikes it. (his is spelt "kreatively" though and no I will not spell it but it has a j in) and he has said he wishes his parents would have amused themselves on their own time.
If you're looking for bold, there's always... Bold? Not sure if you're ready to go there. Not sure I would be.

Haha yes there is always that risk - he may HATE our choice and it's not all about us and our desires after all. Even Atlas - what if he hates traveling?! (ahhh - god forbid!)
Theodore Bold... hmmm, might as well be Theobald!
Theodore Risk? Doesn't go with Hendrix-Kuma
Theodore Jude - like
Theodore Atlas - like too!
Lots of food for thought - thanks so much everyone!!! Still 4 months to go so plenty of time to completely change my mind again!Mama to the awesome Milo Edward.
