Well, between the two, I much prefer Brooklyn Avery. Brooklyn and Madison have similar endings (-n) that don't sound as good together as Brooklyn Avery (which nicely shares a little R sound to tie them together sound-wise). Moreover, Brooklyn and Madison are both very NYC (Brooklyn the 'burb and Madison Square Gardens/Madison Ave.) which seems theme-y. Brooklyn Avery has a nice flow and none of that NYC redundancy.

Well, between the two, definitely Brooklyn Avery. Brooklyn Madison is just too trendy together and I agree with pp about it being very NY-heavy.
I love Avery. Whether or not is started off male, it has definitely moved into the female camp. I think it's beautiful.
Personally, I really dislike Brooklyn. I think it's gone really down-market in the past couple of years. I don't mean any offense, I just meet a lot of people in my line of work - patients, candidates, parents, and children - and that's what I've observed about Brooklyn.
Is the the Br- sound you like? How about Brooke, Brianna, Briony/Bryony, or Bridget? If it's the -lyn ending, Evelyn, Madelyn, Katelyn (I prefer Caitlin but an -lyn ending could work), or Adelyn are possibilities.
In the end it's your child and with a name like Brooklyn, she would fit right in, as it is quite popular
It's just NMS.

As a native New Yorker - I have to say that Brooklyn is a not a pretty place. It's really dirty and full of rats that are often the size of the average house cat. Plus the -lyn ending, it just seems done to death and pretty dated.
Avery is on my list for a boy, I think it's extremely masculine for a girl and I really dislike Madison.
What about just Brooke? It feels more streamlined and less dated. Something like Brooke Allison or Brooke Adeline would be nice.
