    Question Suzannah or Susannah?

If you can, tell me why you would chose on over the other? Thanks so much Berries!

I think Suzannah is enough of a 'real' name to stand on it's own and not always be looked at as a substitution, I also think that using the z in all your children's names is a nice way to tie them all together.

Sure, do the Z. It's not really out of the common way, I've seen it spelled in both ways. It doesn't feel like a weird change.

It's like Elisabeth and Elizabeth, both valid choices in my book.

And I like Suzy and Zana!

Hmm... I disagree. While Susannah, Susanna, and Susana are all established spellings, I don't think Suzannah is. I don't think it's on par with Elizabeth and Elisabeth. Maybe it's a pet peeve of mine, but I just really don't like Suzannah spelled with a Z... it looks made-up to me.

If you do Susannah, they are all still biblical names that end in -h I definitely vote for Susannah.

Does it help that my Grandmother's name is Elizabeth to unite the Z in place of the S? I have found quite a few Suzannah's when I search the web, including authors..

It's a tough call and I am not certain either way.

Even Susannah is a variant of the original Susanna. Then the Greek was Sousanna and the Hebrew Shoshannah
To me, no matter what names are usually variations in some way, Suzannah is a rather old and established variation.

Since it's a trend in your family I think it's more than acceptable.

I voted Susannah til I read your post. I have never seen it with the z but I don't think it looks awful, and agree it Might be a nice match with your boy names! That said, I really like the nn Zuzu for Susannah, so if you might use that nn, you could leave the s spelling and get your z fix in the nn. I think you should spell it whichever way you want and has more meaning for youin this case, bc with the z does not look terribly crazy!

What about Suzanna? I think it looks better than Suzannah.

If you're attached to the 'h' ending, i'd go with Susannah.

    good luck!

Hmm..there is one other piece to the puzzle. If I were to have another girl I would strongly consider naming her Elizabeth.

I don't think I could go to Elizabeth first..If Susannah, then Elisabeth?
