I love it! I've met a young Natalie, but only once. You could call her Tallie (probably Tilly, too) or maybe Nellie. It's a lovely name. I think Natalie Samara or Natalie Sonata/Sonatina is really pretty!

I love Natalie too. It's so great. I know a 4 yr old Natalie in my sons preschool. Def not weird to use it if the baby is born in a season other than winter. It's not like people will ask her, oh are you a Xmas baby? Or if they do, I find that strange. Your mn style is different from mine, but of other suggestions here I like Natalie Violet, Natalie Plum and Natalie Clara!

I found the root to Andrews problem! It's not the nontraditional names but thr fact that they are too short. I suggested Magnolia and Lavender and he said they flow better compared to the shorter name as the berry who suggested Magnolia also pointed out! But now I am stumped because all the names I have been loving so far are shorter names! Though, we decided Natalie Jane will be our fallback name if we can't agree on another, but it just feels soooo plain.

I love Natalie! I wouldn't put it on my list, because of too many associations (All good ones, but I think of friends with the name when I hear it). One of those names that you love seeing on someone else's list. I don't think it would be weird to have on a non-winter baby, I actually didn't know it had a winter meaning. There are two Natalies in my grade (I'm NOW in 8th grade), and my friend has a little sister named Natalie, who's in fifth grade now.
    My favorite combos are:
    Natalie Rue
    Natalie Rain
    Natalie Rowen
    Natalie Rosa/Rose
    Natalie Ro/Row
I just really like Natalie with an R middle name, I guess!
Lillian Hermione Emilia-Isabelle Rosemarie Astrid-Hazel Daphne Evelyn-Elizabeth Luna Sadie

Oliver Frederick James-Henry Cosmo Edmond-Jasper Milo Edison-Theodore Hugo Jack

I love Natalie. I don't think it's plain at all and none of the ones I know were born around Christmas. I love Natalie Winter, but my favorite that someone mentioned was Natalie Violet. I also LOVE Natalie Jane, but I know your hubby doesn't like the short ones. Maybe he's reconsider for a family name? That just has such a great ring to it.

Although I'm hesitant to say so (because I absolutely hate boys' names going to the girls), it really seems like the perfect name for your, so I'll throw it out there (someone may have already mentioned it; I didn't read all the posts): Natalie Rowan? It certainly does have a nice sound to it. Maybe to "girl" it up a little bit (and add a syllable for your DH), Natalie Rowena? Technically it has a different meaning, but I think it's a lovely combination.
