    Elenya?

I stumbled across a site that has J.R.R.Tolkien Elvish words translated to Common English. (I'd been googling the meaning of the -dolen suffix and end up on there.)

I decided to look up words relevant to myself, and stumbled across Elenya. It's Elvish for Monday apparently.
I think it's actually quite pretty, I'd say it "Eh-len-yah".

While the whole "it's Elvish for..." may be rather unconventional, I think it could still be a viable name.
    Thoughts?

I think it's beautiful in a GP kind of way.

Though - other names made up for literature have become established names.

I like it! It sort of feels like a Russian form of Eleni or Elena, haha. Part Eleni, part Nataliya, and I love that it means "Monday"--I think -day names are so fun, but too GPish for me to actually use. I mainly like it just because I could use Leni as a nn, though, haha. I just adore Leni!

I thought it sounded Russain too or like a variant form of Elena. I think it's gorgeous and would make a great name!

I really like it, but I love all things Tolkien and the Elvish language he made is gorgeous. I have a site that's Elvish to Common (and Dark Elvish, which is from a different set of books) that I like to go to and look up words. There are some great ones!

Elenya is very pretty, I like that suggestion. I think it is very usable and has lots of potential nns- Leni, Elly, Enya.

It is a bit different from your usual style though.

I totally agree with this! It's like Natalya too, which I know you liked

I'm not into the whole Tolkien thing at all, but I think Elenya is pretty. Definite Eastern European vibe there.

I love it! But prefer to write it Elena.

    Elenia would be nice.

It's the name of a continent in one of my favorite book series, though.
