I'd like Callie as a nickname for Calista, Calypso...umm, I'm stuck now!

Bridget does seem stodgy and dated to me. It's also a very heavy name, to my ears - but then again, I think that of nearly all B names: Bronwen, Bridget, Bernadette. Ack.

I hope not! I really like Bridget myself.

As for Callie, I think it's fine too, though I think it's a name I prefer as a nickname instead.

I might be the only person who doesn't love Bridget. It doesn't sound old to me so much as it just doesn't sound new, though I think some of the nicknames and permutations are cute. (I love Bridie. I think it's a hell of a burdensome nickname to give a girl, but I love it). For whatever reason, I just can't hear Bridget without hearing "brace yourself!" right before it. I don't dislike it at all, but if it's been so long since you really loved it, are you sure you're still excited enough about it to go with it?

Love Bridget, not a fan of Callie. Makes me think of callous.

Bridget sounds a little dated to me. I used to really like it but for some reason it hasn't aged well. I actually like Callie as a given name. I think it's cute without being cutesy. I graduated high school with a girl named Callie (just Callie) and it suited her perfectly. Didn't feel like a nickname at all.
I have completely random and eclectic taste in everything, including names.

I like both, NMS as such but I do like the nn Bridie very much for Bridget. As others have said a longer name such as Callista nn Callie is very nice indeed.
I say keep them both on your list if you like them- neither have been 'date stamped' by a particular era, so are names that slot in anytime IMHO.

No way. I love them both, and it's sooo usable.
Prefer Callie as a nickname to Calliope or Callista.
