Saxton's not my style, but it's not bad. I think Harmonica is terrible to be honest.

Harmonica is a little odd.. I mean you get girls names Viola, which I guess is also an instrument...

    Its kinda like Harmony/Monica hybrid...

Uh... but at the end of the day it is an instrument... and I wouldn't name my child Piano or Banjo?

Saxtons just not my style... but it isn't particularly unheard of!

I like Saxton (and Saxon), but Harmonica isn't my thing at all. I think Harmony would have been much nicer, and still would have had the music associations. That way, they would both get versions of "saxophone" and "harmonica", as well.

I agree with this. I'm not a fan of instrument names, even Viola, all I can think of is the instrument. That poor girl is going to be teased, people are going to ask Harmonica if she plays the Harmonica. If she plays the flute, she'll get teased because people will say "Aren't you supposed to play the harmonica" oh that poor child! Harmony would have been better.

Saxton isn't my style, but at least it's a name.....

This might sound odd coming from me, but personally I would find it incredibly disingenuous for a friend to ask the Internet what they thought of my children's names. It seems worlds apart from parents coming to a naming forum before their child is born to gauge opinion.

Harmonica's a bit silly and Saxton sounds like saxophone. So it's a bit tryhard musical, but I can't muster up any real vitriol when they're here, named, and the parents aren't here to qualify their choices.

She went a bit over-the-top with her music theme... Harmony and Saxon, or even Harmony and Jaxon, would be so much better.

Being brutally honest, since your friend is not here to be hurt: Harmonica is ludicrous.

I don't like Saxton much, but it's nowhere near as outlandish and at least it's a recognised name.
