    Thoughts on Eiry?

It is a variant of Eira (Welsh name) and can be pronounced Ay ree (North Wales) or Eye ree (South Wales)-there isn't much infomation on it other than that it means snow.

So what are your thoughts on it? And does anyone else have more infomation regarding this name?

I looked it up and didn't find much on it except for the meaning snow. I think I would prefer Eira, pronounced eye-ra, over the ee ending. Kind of reminds me of Iris.

I like it a little, but to me, it's just sounds like Airy.

I like it, but it sounds more like a character in a fantasy novel than a real person, kwim? Eira works betters to me, at least as a given name - and then you could say Eiry as an NN.

I also like Eirwen and especially Eirlys as full names that use the root Eir-.

i loooove it pronounced 'eye-ree'. I suppose Eiry would be the best spelling.

Well if it's for DnD then go for it. Depending on your type of character, it fits perfectly. if you're playing an Elf or Gnome or something similar. it fits perfectly ^_^

Well if it's for a game, I think it's perfectly fine! For a kid, I'm not a huge fan, but I can see it as a name.

It's pretty, but people will assume that you're rasta. I met a little girl by that name here in Chattanooga, and that was certainly my assumption. Irie!
