Do not back down. Stella Antionette sounds beautiful, and had perdonal meaning fir you. Don't give up on a childhood dream so easily. Everyone will eventually get over it. It's not the worst thibg in the world to share a middle name. Congrats, and good luck!

2. Eliza Estelle
3. Etta Estelle

All of the options you listed are beautiful, I think these four above are particularly amazing, and Stella Antoinette most of all is simply gorgeous. I actually share a middle name with a cousin who is 4 years old than me and it was a complete non-issue in my family. I'm also rooting for you to use Antoinette!!!

Stella Antoinette and Rosalie Antoinette are my favourites too! You truly have a beautiful list of names there.
I understand you don't want to 'rock the boat' with your family, but I really hope you go with your heart and still use Antoinette as a middle name. If that's not possible, Etta is also one of my favourite names, and would be a beautiful way to honour your grandmother.

I would not be backing down at all, I think you should lay it all out on the table tell them you still plan to use the name Antoinette (simply gorgeous) and that you don't have a problem with it, you have been wanting to name your child by your grandmothers name since you were a child and that it's just going to happen
I love Rosalie (my niece is Rosalee and simply the best child I have ever met or seen... though I may admit some bias here lol it also comes with nickname possibilities of Rosie, Rosa, Lee, Ro all of which my niece answers to)
I also love from your list Delilah (would adore it more if it was Delilah Antoinette and Sadie Antoinette)

maybe try and talk to your brother without Luci around as it may be easier to get your point across and have him understand just how important it is to you and why you don't feel it would do either of the girls any harm to share a middle name (it may even make them grow close to share the name and the namesake which would be sweet)
I hope you don't have to give up Antoinette as well as Lucy (though to be honest I prefer Rosalie Antoinette, Delilah Antoinette and Sadie Antoinette over Lucy Antoinette)
would love to hear what you decide (and hope whatever it is makes you happy because that's all that matters, your happiness with your daughters name not what some new addition thinks... sorry if that seemed overly harsh)

You do have a great list! I like Rosalie Antoinette the most, followed by Stella Antoinette, Ruby Antoinette and Delilah Estelle. Rosalie and Delilah were made to be sisters IMO

I like Ruby Antoinette the best, followed by Stella Antoinette (since it has such great personal meaning for you) and Rosalie Antoinette.

As for your situation, I would suggest that you and your husband calmly inform your brother and his wife that you're going to use the middle name Antoinette and that it doesn't bother you if your daughters have the same middle name. If it bothers them, then they can either change their combo or get over it. After that, the discussion should be over and if they want to make a big deal about it, just ignore them as you've already informed them of your decision.

I think you have every right to use Antoinette, and if it means a lot to you, then you should definitely still use it!!!

Stella is perfect because you get get both grandmothers, but your grandmas favorite is Rosalie and I absolutely love the name, personally.
