Looking for a fun, airy, lively, sprightly name...
to balance out a more serious FN I'm considering. Flow isn't a huge consideration right now--I'm more looking for ideas than anything. So far, Kaia is my highest contender, but I'm looking for a few more ideas.
I'm also considering Alila--I just discovered it today and I'm quite in love! Out of curiosity, how would you pronounce Alila? I instinctively say ah-LIE-lah but I haven't seen an official pronunciation for it anywhere...
Thanks, ladies!Ashley

Kaia is such a fun name! Alila is cute too. I know one little Alila and she says her name Ah-lee-luh, sort of like Aliyah with an extra L in there. Her parents are from the Middle East and have accent though so that could have something to do with pronunciation, but if I saw Alila on paper I would say Ah-lee-luh. If you like the Ah-lie-luh pronunciation though I think Lila and Alaia are nice substitutes that sound really fun to me.

Lilo (LEE-lo)
Lola
Kiki
Pixie (you said sprightly, which made me think of a sprite!)
Faye
Elaine (Faye and Elaine both mean fairy, I believe...I'm sorry, sprightly looks too much like sprite, now I'm on a fairy track)
Laney
Posey
Iris
Ferne
Those are the names that came to mind when I read your descriptions. Kaia is great, though!

I would definitely say Alila as Ah-LEE-luh. The A-LIE-luh pronunciation feels awkward to me, like I have misheard a name and I am not sure if it is Delilah or Alaia. Alila is gorgeous though, I love it! I love Kaia too, just so cute! What about these:
Keagan - not your normal style but when I read the title, before I even knew it was you that had posted the thread, I instantly thought Keagan.
Poppy
Neela/Nila - reminds me a lot of Alila
Felicity - that might be a little long though
Willow
Piper
Pippa
Viva
I think Zara would fit in here as well.

Do you think I could get away with the ah-LIE-lah pronunciation, if it's only a MN? Generally I'm a big fan of using the traditional pronunciation as it sort of seems disrespectful to the original culture to do otherwise, but I'm not a fan of ah-LEE-lah at all, but I really love ah-LIE-lah. It sounds so lyrical and sweet to me.
I love so many of these suggestions, but to me, many of them don't really liven up the FN that's in consideration (Eleanor)--something like Eleanor Kaia or Eleanor Alila (or even Eleanor Alaia) really gives life to the combo, but something like Eleanor Daisy (sweet though she is) or Eleanor Ruby or Eleanor Willa doesn't really feel that playful, which is the sort of feeling I get from Kaia and Alila/Alaia. I really do like Leila, Zelie/Azalea, Pippa (although I'm not sure Pippa livens up Eleanor), and Aviva (I quite like Eleanor Aviva!).
So far, I think Kaia, Alila/Alaia, and Aviva are the only ones that have made the list (although I adore about 95% of your suggestions! Just not with Eleanor...). The second MN will likely be something very traditional (Grace, Jane, Kate, Claire, Ruby, etc.) since it's a family name, so I like the idea of something very lively in between.Ashley
