    Lana

WDYT of Lana? also WDYT of Boleyn as middle name in general? is it usable at all or is it tainted?

Lana is pretty, although I prefer Lena personally. Boleyn is definitely tainted to me. I love the whole history of Henry VIII and his wives and Queen Elizabeth I and all that, but I definitely wouldn't give Boleyn to my daughter.

    Good luck!

Yeah, I think it's a bit tainted myself too bad. darn...it would make an interesting middle name LOL. Just thought I'd through it out there anyways... thanks for the opinion.

Lana is gorgeous! I love it. Boleyn is tainted, unfortunately. It would have made a lovely mn. If you are looking for surnames as mn, how about...
    Austen (Jane)
    Bronte (Charlotte)
    Alcott (Louisa May)
    Madison (Dolly)
    McKinley (Ida Saxton)
    Oakley (Annie)
    Truth (Sojourner)
    Wilder (Laura Ingall)

As you can see, I tried to find some female historical figures. Hope it helps!
J'adore les noms des filles françaises...
    Élinor ~ Zéphyrine ~ Alice ~ Agnès ~ Noémie ~ Ninon ~ Marguerite ~ Ariane ~ Euphrasie ~ Clémence ~ Juliette

    And classic boys' names.

Aw, Lana! I think it's very glamorous, and I'd love to meet a little one with the name.

Anne Boleyn was a fascinating woman, but, yeah, Boleyn is lugging around some dark, heavy baggage. I wouldn't want it as part of my name.

I have been looking at Lana lately. It has the vibe of Lara- short, simple yet feminine but is vintage and 'new' fresh.

    Lana's a cute name.

However, as immature as it is, I would imagine a child named Lana would eventually get teased (re-arrange the letters backwards).

I find both Lana and Lara pretty dated and harsh-sounding. I also think Boleyn is tainted. Sorry.

I quite like Lana, it was on our list for daughter no.3 and dh really liked it (probably down to the Smallville character). I'd never thought about what it spelt backwards though hmm tricky, it might put me off anyway

    We also liked Lara

I don't think Boleyn is useable but love the literary surname suggestions for a middle name, especially Bronte and Austen, and I'm not a surname as name for girls fan!
