    Drew Barrymore's baby name

Now that my all-time favorite reserve baby name Clover has seemingly blown up after all these years of waiting to use it, I'm scared that my new top choice is going to get "starbaby stolen" as well! My top contender for stealing this name is Drew Barrymore, because it's a relatively-unused nature name that's a little hippie dippy. You know if she names her kid something even a little unconventional, the media is going to blow up over it and it will be unusable for years because of the negative association, much like Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple (which, I think, maybe is just drifting into the realm of being usable by us commonfolk eight years later). She's most likely due a few months before I am, so it would really wipe this name off the list for sure if she used it.

Anyway, just wondering if you guys have any strong guesses or hunches as to what you think Drew Barrymore will name her baby girl. Keep in mind she just got married to the dad, whose last name is Koppelman, so it will have to not sound awful with that.

ETA - FYI I'm not saying I think Drew or any more celebs will use Clover. The name Clover and I have parted ways, I was super in love with it for about six years but now I'm done with it and have no desire to use it. The name I'm worried about is one that no celeb has used as of yet and I'm hesitant to write down here for fear it will generate more interest!

I realize you're really worried about Clover blowing up- don't worry. What is the probability that, out of thousands of names in the world, Drew Barrymore is going to happen to choose Clover? And who even cares? If you love the name, use it. Don't worry what everyone else does or thinks. Angelina Jolie named her daughter Shiloh, yet it never became super popular or went on the wane. It's a name some people use, but most don't. It's all good.

No no no, I don't think Drew will choose Clover at all, I'm saying two other minor celebs have chosen it in the past year and plus it just hits so many trends that I'm now done with it and really don't even want to use it anymore. I meant that I'm scared that my NEW favorite baby girl name is going to get used by Drew or some other celeb. I don't want to write it on here, but I do want to see if anyone happens to guess it's what Drew might name her daughter.

I have no clue what she'll name her baby, but I think you are worrying too much. Whatever name you choose, there is a chance that some celebrity will make it famous later on. Just pick something you love and go with it.

I can't begin to guess, but I totally get you. I loved Shiloh before Angelina used it. She must have heard me say it.... :P But it's far off my list now. As someone said above, what are the chances that your name will be chosen, though. And there's nothing you can do about it either way, unfortunately, so I would just hang onto it but have a backup name just in case, if you're really worried.

To me regardless if a celebrity uses a name you love you should still use it. I have loved many baby names used by celebds and that never stopped me from loving them.

The thing is I'm probably having this baby only a few months after she has hers (she's never announced a due date but I'm guessing based on how big she is right now and when people first started suspecting she was pregnant), and if she uses anything even somewhat unusual, people will still remember it and associate it with her when I'm birthing and naming this baby.

This "new" name I'm worried about her (or someone else) using was going to be the middle name when I still thought I was using Clover as the first name, and I remember coming Nameberry and seeing this new name in a couple of relatively new articles/blog posts and thinking, oh, what a coincidence, then feeling a little worried that it was going to get coverage and be popular. Don't you think famous people search Nameberry, too? It's not like there's some secret internet just for celebrities.

I wouldn't worry, I say go head and use Clover [it's adorable and has been on my list for a while, but not to worry I won't have children anytime soon]. I think personally any name a person chooses has been done before [This has happened to me many times even the most unusual combos I have had] so to not use it would be silly because of a celebrity. Your little Clover would be just fine, I doubt Drew would use Clover, and even if she did; is it that bad if you two had Clovers? You can't help what other people celebrities or not name their child, and it shouldn't stop you from using it if you love it that much.
