Oliver Neil is perfect. The combo is fresh and inviting, a very good choice, and Oliver is a big time favourite for nameberries.

    1. I think Stonewall is cool and quirky in the middle.

    2. Never in my life heard of the Stonewall riots.

    3. Pansy is my new hero. Took the words right out of my mouth.

    Best of luck, Water Buffalo!

Neil is a middle-aged accountant with no chin and a greying comb-over. (*NOTE: I am sure there are many charming people who fit this description. Please don't flame me!

I'd go for Mack. Heck, I'd go for Stonewall over Neil. Neil is not a 'strong, masculine' name at all, IMO.

I love Neil and Mack! Worth isn't bad either. I would choose any of these over your first two choices. Neil is my favorite!

I like Oliver Neil. I'm not a fan of Neil as a first name but it sounds really handsome in the middle with Oliver.

Not crazy about Malcolm, it takes me to the other end of the spectrum, and I think of Malcolm X.

I love the way Oliver Neil Ervin sounds together -- that would be top of my list, BUT since you're looking to macho-up Oliver, I think Mack and Worth would be much better choices. They are both great descriptive names. I don't particularly like the way either of them flow together, but I don't know how important that is to you. My favorite of the two is Mack because it's a great guy nickname AND it has family significance.

Have you thought about MacNeil? I was just browsing Mac names and this one came up and I thought that if you wanted to cover both bases then Oliver MacNeil Ervin would be pretty cool.
