I was browsing through birth announcements in cities my husband and I might like to live in one day and I was finding some really interesting names. for any interested, I'll list the cities too ^_^ There were plenty of normal, on trend names, but I thought I'd post the ones that really struck me as unique, out of trend (good or bad), or weird/kr8tiv:

Very interesting list. I don't feel that I love too many names on it except possibly Penelope.

For Poet, I'd prefer Teagan because it means "little poet"

Azula is one of the evil fire nation characters from the animated TV show Avatar: The Last Airbender. She's a total psycho so that's a major no for me!

Xaiden? Really?? That's taking the -aiden names too far!

Sarabi was the name of Simba's mom, not Sarahi

What's with all of the apostrophe names??

Some of the mothers' names are also strange, so it is quite obvious as to the origins of their naming styles.

You're right it was Sarabi! I still think it's nice though. I really like Poet as a guilty pleasure word name, and I love the nn Poe for it.

Really about Azula? I used to watch that show but I must have stop watching before I met her, or just don't remember >.<

I also remember Azula from the Avatar: The Last Airbender show! She was actually so psychotic it was uncomfortable to watch, so that's what I think of. I think she showed up a little in season two and for most of season 3.

BTW, I'm not very good at writing phonetic pronunciations of things, but as best as I can manage it... Loïc is pronounced Lo-EEK, with the emphasis on the second syllable, but the 'eek' sound isn't drawn out, it's very short. Thanks! I didn't get all way to season 3 so that's why I don't remember her. Loic doesn't actually have a bad sound ^_^

Some of these are quite cool - Jeremiah, Delilah, and a few others.

Most are totally NMS. If I were a boy called Poet, I don't think I'd ever forgive my parents.
