    Hobbes - Whachoo Think?

Is Hobbes completely ridiculous? I kind of love it, and we're more than okay with the Calvin and Hobbes association. Can you think of anything similar in style?

Actually, I like it. It's different. I hope you don't mind if I add it to my favorites.

I think it's pretty darn cute, actually although... At first glance I thought it said 'Hobboes' and that threw me off. Haha.

It's a town in new Mexico where my dad grew up, so that is my association with the name. I kinda like it still, but wouldn't use it personally.

My cat is named Hobbes. He's an awesome cat but that makes it difficult for me to picture the name on a human child.

I think it's cute, and I like the Ho- beginning, but I was never sure if it was one syllable or two. I guess most people would be clear on that though, from the comic strip...I just haven't heard it out loud much! Two other suggestions:

I'm not a fan, sorry. I'm usually a huge fan of surnames, and Hobbes feels very surnamey to me, but I just can't get past the Calvin and Hobbes thing personally. If I could, though, I think I might find it intriguing.

Can't get past that crazy cat and his pal Calvin

What about Hobe? Some pronounce it "ho-bee" but it's really supposed to rhyme with Job
