Having difficulty coming up with names to meet this criteria.Can you help?

We are about to welcome our second child, a boy.

We would like to pick a name that honors our grandmothers, my husband's grandmother Jane or my grandmother Denise. It doesn't have to be both.

If at all possible, we would like it if the name went beyond simply starting with a J or a D. However, the only name we have been able to agree on is Dennison, which we like in and out of itself but its too long to use it with our child (our last name is long).

We aren't being very creative right now and we would greatly appreciate help.

Can you come up with more alternatives?

I should also mention that although Dennis would be the obvious alternative,we don't like the name too much.

What about Dane? I went to school with a boy named Dane, and it worked on him.

Thank you for the replies. We are trying to decide how we feel about Dane. It is a very interesting suggestion and it sounds great with our last name. It might just be the proper choice.
