Yes, it's because here in Australia lots of people would pronounce Winter as "Winta", so it almost gives the effect of two names ending in an A sound.

    I like Winter Aveline!

Rollo, I love Genevieve too, but the inevitable nickname of Jen or Jenni really put me off it....

I like your first 3 ideas best:
    Winter Genevieve
    Winter Marguerite
    Winter Aurora

My favorite of the three is Winter Marguerite (esp after your explanation of Winta). I like Marguerite especially because it's your mother's middle name. I like it when there's a family connection.

I like Winter Celeste too -as a pp mentioned.

    Here are some more suggestions:
Winter Adelaide (although that wouldn't really work if you're in S.A.)
Winter Adeline (instead of Adelaide )
Winter Kathryn (I know it's 2 syllables, but I think it looks & sounds classy)
    Winter Naomi
Winter Gwendolyn (isn't that pretty -I don't know if I'd be able t actually use it though, unless it were a family name)

    Have fun with the mn!

How did I not even think of that?! lol. I'm glad you liked Winter Aveline--it was one of my favorite suggestions! I think Winter Aveline Jackson King is really sweet, and the nns Winnie, Ava, Avie, Lina, etc., are really cute, too.

Winter Violet, and Winter Meredith popped into my head.

I like Winter Aurore as well, instead of Aurora so you don't have that A ending.
    Winter Francesca as well.
