    Mirabelle vs. Mirabeau

We're trying to decide between two names for our baby girl. Which do you prefer?

Mirabeau (pronounced mir-uh-boo) River or Mirabelle (also Mirabel) River??

I prefer Mirabelle, I think Mirabeau would be hard to age with....

    EDIT:
beau pn as "boo" makes it seem hard to age with because a lot of times parents will say "Lily-boo, Sarah-boo, Jonny-boo" etc... to a baby, at least where I'm from. I live in America.

I'd go with Mirabel, even though I don't like the -belle trend, because -beau is a masculine ending in French and it feels wrong to put a masculine ending on a girl, though I guess it's really no different than Madison/Mackenzie etc with the -son and mac- indicating male. Seven years of French class is guiding me away from Mirabeau on a girl, though.

I like Mirabelle much better. Has more of a classic feeling to it. I also really like the spelling Mirabel.
