Girls Name Rut ):
I can't find many girls names that I LOVE. Someone suggested that I find names that don't exactly meet the style of the names I like... But I don't know. What would you suggest?
I LIKE, but don't LOVE:
Rose -> Rosalind, Rosamund, Rosalie, Rosamond?
Any suggestions or general advice?

I did not love my daughter's name originally, but it grew on me. I suggest calling your belly by each name for a day or two and see if it seems to fit. If none of them do, at the very least it might lead you in the direction on a new name! Good luck!

Heehee, for a minute I actually thought you were suggesting Rut for a girl's name... Well, I've heard Ruta and Ruth, so it didn't seem impossible.... But assuming 'Rut' doesn't do it for you, good luck with your real search!
I'd advise you to keep searching (books, online lists, newspaper announcements, TV credits...) and making lists. If a name stays on the list for a while, you may have found a 'love' rather than a 'like'! There are good suggestions above, and since some of your 'likes' are names I like too (Beatrix, Hermione, Tallulah, Rose-names, Florence) I thought you might be interested in some of my others:
