I don't like either of them. They're both trying too hard to be trendy in my opinion, and trendiness in naming isn't something I'd go for. The trends are mostly trendy among the lowest common denominator.
If I had to choose I would pick Paxton, because Mannox sounds like something a 15 yearold would make up.
I'm not saying any of this to be rude, just to put it out there that this is exactly what I, and maybe others, really think.

Hmm.. Any suggestions then?? Part of our baby naming problem is we are currently working in Jakarta, so we need to fly to Singapore to have baby, put name on birth certificate immediately to be able to get passport paperwork underway to fly out again, so we don't have time to see what he 'looks like' and we need to have a baby name decided nowish. Eep.

I don't see anything wrong with the name Paxton. It's not my style but it sounds like a perfectly good name. People have very different tastes and you're never gonna find a name that everybody likes. Just because someone doesn't like it, it doesn't mean it's terrible.
I also love the meaning of Paxton btw.

I actually love Paxton! It does have a bit of a trendy vibe to me, but I love the nn Pax, and that it means "peace" in Latin. I think Paxton Beau is really handsome, and I would definitely go for that!
I agree, I'm not crazy about Mannox--would you consider Maddox instead? It's quite handsome and has the attractive nn of Max if you want one.
It sounds like you like names with "X"s--have you considered Alexander/Xander, Xavier, Axel, Maxwell, Ajax, Dexter, Felix, Huxley, Knox, Lennox, Phoenix, or Sixto (I know a little boy with this name--I think it's pretty cool!)?
Good luck!Ashley
