Hmm, I don't know. I mean, I'm not a huge American football fan, either, but that wouldn't stop me from using something like Donovan. If you really love it, I think you should use it! Jonah is really handsome. I really love Paxton, though, too.

Hmm, well, the only Jonah I know is only ever Jonah, but it could be that his older brother is Joseph, III, and he goes almost exclusively by Joey (and their father is Joe!). But I definitely think a Jonah could be just Jonah... the little Jonah I know has had no problems with people trying to shorten it. Besides, Jonah is just as short as a lot of nicknames are (Danny, Bella, Emmy, Leo, etc.), so I don't think it should be a huge problem. If people do try and call him Joe or Joey, I would think you could stop it quite easily by saying, "Oh, he's just Jonah" or whatever. Jonah's just one of those names that doesn't really need a nn. I do quite agree--I love Pax so much more than Jonah!

I hate to say this, but even though I like Paxton, I don't think it sounds great with Chaklan.

    Mannox is awful.

Paxton Beau as a first/middle pairing sounds terrific ... but not with Chaklan. [Mannox Chaklan has the same "x" / "k" factor.]

    My recommendation is ...

Paytah Chaklan [Native American for "fire"]

    [or]

Manus Chaklan [Scottish for "great man" or "army man"]

Hello and from your list I would have to choose Paxton Beau and I like the nn of Pax. Have you ever thought of using Saxon I just love the name Saxon, it is a strong handsome name.

Saxon Beau would definitely be a great choice imo.

    then you may like

    Everett Beau nn Rhett
    Remington Beau nn Remy
Simon Beau reminds me of James Bond 007 very handsome

    Wdyt of these suggestions?

    rollo

PS Mannox has a potential teasing factor linked to the word manic

Hmm.. Paytah. I quite like how that sounds. I'm not sure about Saxon because I immediately think of Saxy.. and think 'fat bastard' from Austin Powers.. Even though it's probably just me.hmmm

I'm not too concerned about first and last name though combo because it would prob get shortened to Pax pretty quickly, which still has the x k combo but also better than xt k combo. Its not perfect but with my other two kids the amount of time I use their full name out loud is so rare it's only really for forms so we are just trying to find a name we can agree on!! Unless your name is Philip Phillips though..

Thanks for your suggestions though, noted

Now I'm really curious what your other two children's first names are for more clues about your ideal naming style .
