3 weeks until baby girl and no name!
We are having a hard time agreeing on a name for our baby girl & I'm about to lose my mind! We have a short list but maybe some 3rd party help will give perspective on what we already have or a name we've missed.
He would like to use his mom's middle name for her middle name which I don't love but could concede on, Ann, though I prefer the Anais version (maybe there are others that would still give a nod to mom without being so 'plain' for lack of a better word).
I love the idea of a solid first name that lends itself to a cute sassy nickname while she's young. Our last name ends in
-ie so prefer to steer clear of names that end in the -ee sound.
Big brothers are Kellen and Torin, though we don't necessarily care about a 'sib set match', we do like names that are solid but not super mainstream.
Harlow (nn Harly or Lola; my favorite because it has a vintage flair yet it's modern, everyone can agree on Lola but
husband not a fan--yet)
Rowan (not sure on nn options here besides Ro and while we can agree on this name and it goes great with boys
names it feels lackluster, but perhaps it's because we've discussed it to death!)
Emerson (do not like 'Em' so not sure this name a great idea though I like Emme or Emery fine)
Charlotte (nn Lola. Husband likes the more traditional names which I typically don't, and while I like it, I think Charlotte
will feel a little bit 'dated' for me and I can't agree to Charlie as a nn thanks to a young family dog)Last edited by kgill; May 29th, 2012 at 01:06 PM.

I think Harlow or Charlotte are your best options. With the older two boys named Kellen and Torin (which I love, btw!) I have a hard time figuring out which is the girl in a sibset of say, Kellen, Torin, and Rowan.
Harlow Ann is beautiful. Maybe Harlow Annabel as a 'nod' to mom without using plain old Ann?Currently Loving:
♥ August, Henry, Dodge, Revere
♥ Mabel, Lilith, Leona, Avis, Zelda

I agree that Harlow or Charlotte would work best with your boys' names. Emerson and Rowan are too masculine, which would lead one to think you had three boys. And I also agree that both Harlow Ann and Charlotte Ann are lovely. Especially with a name like Harlow, I would go for a more traditional MN.

I'm a Charlotte fan! I love Lola as a nickname for Charlotte because Lola by itself feels a bit informal! Penelope sometimes gets Lola as a nickname if that appeals to you.
I would, as others have said, avoid using Rowan since it is much more popular for boys and would cause confusion with others thinking you have three sons!
Harlow is one letter away from harlot which kind of makes me wary of teasing opportunities!!

I agree with everyone else; Harlow and Charlotte sound the best with your boys names. I prefer Harlow, though.
For alternat middles:
**I listed possible alternate spellings so that the name actually had "ann" in some of these, but i'm aware they're spelled 'wrong'
**
Annabel
Anya
Annika
Arianna
Adriann (alternate spelling of Adrianne/Adrianna to honor MIL)
Annelise
Anniston
Breann
Georgeanne or Georgeanna
Hannah (might appeal to hubby traditional tastes)
Lilyanne or Lilyana
Megan
Oceanne
Savannah
Vivianne
