Athalia - I like it, very aristocratic sounding.
Narcissa - I couldn't get over "narcissism" myself, but I like the sound.
Corisande - Eh, I like the idea but it sounds kinda over the top for me.
Vesper - I like this one but it does remind me of Vespa scooters.
Sonnet - Makes me think "bonnet" instantly.
Annika - I'm not a fan of any names with the AHN- beginning sound, it sounds like you're trying too hard.
Jubilee - I'm from the south, so when I hear this name is makes me think of church and overly religious people.
Amabel - I love this name, so pretty and dainty. Makes me think of a doll.
Calantha - Okay, very botanical sounding.
Amoret - Love it, it reminds me of vampires for some reason. A book or movie maybe?
Calandra - I actually knew a girl in high school with this name, I always thought it was different and unique.
Calypso - Love it, I love any girl name that ends in -o though. Very exotic, tropical islands instantly comes to mind.
    Avalon - Love, classically beautiful.
Merrigan - Sounds kinda trendy, I would just use Morgan.
Eleanor - Love it, I know a 9 year old named Eleanor and it's very refreshing.
Brigitta - Really don't like this one, I just don't like the sound.
Adelaide - Never liked this name, the nn Addie is so cutesy almost in a sickening way.
Beatrice - Alright, I would like it as a middle name.
Daphne - Does remind me of Scooby Doo I have to admit, but I still like it.
Odessa - I like this one a lot, very feminine.
Aspen - Not a fan of any name beginning with the As- sound.
Alannah - Hate it, every girl I've met named Alannah was mean and rude so I have a negative image of it.
Annaliese - It's alright, very German sounding.
Coral - Cute, makes me think of Finding Nemo though.
Jocelyn - I have a negative image with this one too, I know a absolutely horrible 5 year old Jocelyn. Such a brat.
Katarina - Pretty, makes me think of the Russian gymnast.
    Valencia - Oranges.
Waverly - The baby from the Princess Bride, I love that connection but I can't bring myself to like it.
Winter - Nice, but it does strike me as cold and would make me think the parents were Goth.
Snow - Would love as a middle name, actually ever since I saw "Mirror, Mirror" and they called Snow White just Snow it's growing on me.

Hope that helped in some way!
My cherished daughter, Rowan Jane. ~b. 10/2011~

So many great replies!!! I love that my old favorites are getting some love, those being Odessa and Corisande, someone pointed out that Corisande sounds over the top, and that's kind of where my feelings grew to as well, I'm not sure if I can saddle a little girl with such a big name. Despite having the nickname of Coris (said like Chorus) in place, I'm still really on the fence. I love the name, but it might just be too much name. Odessa, I still love, but my Fiance isn't sure about A endings sounding right with his last name Zack-R-uck, and I am starting to agree with him on that point. Opinions?

I am also loving the love for Calypso, which has been my absolute favorite for almost 8 years!!! But again, I'm not sure I can saddle a daughter with this name, it's much more of a guilty pleasure that I wish wish wish I had the courage to use, but probably never will.
Can't use Morgan instead of Merrigan, I also love Morrigan, but I'm starting to think Merrigan might be out too, unless she goes specifically by Merri, (which is super cutesy), I only have two blood related cousins on my dads side, and one of them named his daughter Morgan, (Sister is Meredith, cute sibset!!!) just too close for comfort.

I would be pronounce Brigitta like Bri-gee-ta, or however, like in the sound of music. Fiance thinks Bridget is an 'old lady name'. Same with Beatrice He's not opposed to Daphne though, however, I'm am having difficulties picturing it on a baby, or child.

Not sure about Amabel still, Fiance thinks it sounds like (his words) "A Bastardization of Annabel", but I informed him it's a real name in it's own right.
I have also loved Adelaide for several years, due to a song (Adelaide by Anberlin), but with it's current Celebbaby status, with a star I'm not too fond of, I'm not sure I want to use it anymore.

Lori-Johnson - You rated Athalia pretty high, in it's description, it says something about it not being great in a biblical sense, now, I'm not terribly religious, so I have zero idea who this biblical Athalia is, and I can see from your signature, that you might know better than I, would naming a baby Athalia be a terrible idea because of this? Or because you rated it so high, is it not very well known? I don't want anyone with a religious background hearing the name and being appalled, much like with Jezebel and similar names.

Vesper - I totally forgot about Vespa scooters, I always think Vesper from Spaceballs!!! Possibly not a better reference.... haha

Still no verdict on the Initials E.Z???

I'm also not 100% sure if Amoret is said Amor-ette or Am-or-ay? Like Vionnet is Vi-oh-nay. Thoughts? I always said Am-or-ette.

I really want something feminine but not frilly, possibly with a great meaning, (part of the reason I love Valencia) and a little whimsical sounding. And uncommon, obviously haha, not something you'd hear everyday, I want a wow name! Something that will cause people to be like 'oh my that's pretty!' not 'oh my that's pretty weird'
In Love, Engaged, and Fantasizing about Future Babies!!
We have two lovely rabbits named Luna and Lilou!

Lords - Lachlan Alexander - Evander 'Anders' Alcott - Cadmus Walter - Theron Xavier - Thatcher William - Peregrine North - Dresden Alasdair

Ladies - Natalie Winter - Adelaide Pearl - Hermione Jane - Corisande Fable - Lavender Alina/Irie - Cordelia Autumn - Virginia Joy- Odessa Faye

And Patience.... The one thing I never had enough of....

    Athalia - I prefer Thalia
Narcissa - Don't like. I just think of narcissistic
Corisande (cor-ih-sahnd) - I like how it looks, it has a very regal, elegant image to me. However, I think it's a little unaccessible.
Vesper - this is neat...I like it!
    Sonnet...better as a middle
Annika (ahn-ih-ka)...love this, underused but feminine and lovely
Jubilee...don't like, reminds me at once of Ju-Jube candies and hillbillies
Amabel...I like this a lot more than Annabel
Calantha...very different, would be great to honour a Samantha
    Amoret...just okay,
    Calandra...I like Cassandra better
    Calypso...will be shortened to Caly.
    Avalon...just another "Ava..."
Merrigan...I like Merryn or Marin or Morgan better
Eleanor...I think this name is truly beautiful
Brigitta...I like this much more than Bridget. Reminds me of the Sound of Music!
    Adelaide...another personal favourite. So lovely.
Beatrice...yet another favourite, I love the flow of this name. I think it would age so well on a little girl, and "Bea" is such a sweet nn.
    Daphne...super cute!
Odessa...I like this, seems like a bolder version of Tessa.
Aspen...I wouldn't use a name that starts with an "Ass" sound. Maybe in the middle?
Alannah...pretty, but strikes me as a little 90's.
Annaliese...I don't understand why everyone loves this name. Annaliese...Anal-ease...no.
Coral...lovely! Such a soft, sweet, pink little name.
    Jocelyn...seems a little dated.
    Katarina...I like this!
    Valencia...it's okay.
Waverly...this name as been interesting me lately. I really like it. It's modern without sounding trendy.
    Winter...a great middle
    Snow...another great, wintery middle.

    Some favourite combinations:
    Adelaide Snow
    Waverly Sonnet
    Beatrice Coral
    Eleanor Aspen
    Odessa Eleanor
    Amabel Vesper
    Brigitta Amoret
    Annika Snow, Annika Avalon
    Daphne Winter

I think you are pronouncing Amoret right, that's how I've always pronounced it. Calypso is definitely usable in my opinion, I think it's gorgeous. If you are looking for a "wow" factor, I think these are your best bet...

    Calypso
    Amoret
    Avalon
    Amabel

If you like Morgan and Merrigan, what about Maren or Marine? Or Moira?
Also, have you thought about Thalia or Talia instead of Athalia?
Some other names you might like...

    Anthea
    Astraea
    Artemis
    Clio
    Cleondra
    Cosette
    Colette
    Mahala
    Elowen
    Valor (nn Val)
    Artemisia
    Odette
    Amara
    Maris
    Mariska
    Lilac

Athalia - interesting and pretty and I do think it's usable.
Narcissa - pretty and I don't think it would cause THAT much of an issue, mostly spelling.
Corisande - not bad, I'm not a huge fan of the sound
Vesper - I've met a couple with this name, I think it's usable and rather pretty
Sonnet - I don't care for it, but I don't see it as any different than Cadence or Aria.
Annika - beautiful and definitely usable.
Jubilee - well this is a grocery store chain where I grew up so I don't care for it.
    Amabel - beautiful and usable
    Calantha -" "
Amoret - It's nice, but not my favorite.
Calandra - very close to my own name, so yes, usable.
Calypso - love! I would use it
Avalon- interesting and it's nice in theory, but I don't care for the sound at the end.
Merrigan - interesting. I don't mind it, but I think ti would get misspelled or mispronounced a lot of the time.
Eleanor - beautiful, classic and timeless.
Brigitta - beautiful and definitely useable
Adelaide - cute, definitely more well know than the rest of your list, but not popular. It reminds me of Cool Aid.
Beatrice - it's nice, I vastly prefer Beatrix, though.
Daphne - LOVE and definitely usable
    Odessa - lovely!
Aspen - I dont care for it, but it is usable.
Alannah - I don't like the H at the end or extra N - Alana is lovely.
    Annaliese - beautiful
Coral - ok, it's usable, but I prefer Cora, Cordelia, Coraline or maybe Coralie.
Jocelyn - nice but a bit masculine
Katarina - beautiful, I prefer Catharina, but I love it.
    Valencia - love it.
    Waverly - immensely dislike.
    Winter - pretty
    Snow - no.

The 13 refreshing selections I recommend from your names list are ordered alphabetically and numerically, but are otherwise in no particular order.

Until now, I never realized there's a Queen Athaliah [with an "h"] in the Bible ... who promoted the worship of Baal versus God as her parents did. Of all people, her mom is believed to be the Queen Jezebel of whom you speak.

After Queen Athaliah's heir-to-the-throne-son died prematurely, she ordered all of his successors to be killed because he worshipped God as his father [Queen Athaliah's husband] did.

On the plus side, the name Athalia has a great sound and a great meaning: "The Lord is exalted". And, you're not spelling it with an "h" .
