He didn't like my #1 name...
AND I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! xD It has taken me, oh, a year? Maybe longer to come up with my new favorite name. I convienced myself it was the PERFECT name... and he grimaced when I said it. The name is Cecily Raven.
I think he likes Gabrielle. I'm not sure though. I mentioned Gabrielle, kind of as a joke because my all time FAVORITE show is Xena, and her sidekick was Gabrielle. I was all, "What if we named a daughter Gabrielle." And his reply was, "I wouldn't mind that." That is basically a solid "I LOVE IT!!" when it comes to him and names. xD Thats pretty much what he said when I mentioned DDs name before concieving her, and it was the name he liked better then any others with out so much as a flinch in another direction. So.... I may have lost Cecily, and gained a Gabrielle.
I do like Gabrielle... I like the nickname Gabby, Gabberoo, Gaberina, Gabbers, Elle, and Ella. I dislike Brielle, and DH says he doesn't like Bell/a, Brie is a nickname another little girl in the family has. Abby is too close to my daughter Addys.
Our last name sounds like Barren... so Gabrielle Barren. The middle name has to start with the sound, "Ray" so names like:
Gabrielle Rachel Barren
Gabrielle Raylie Barren
Gabrielle Raegan Barren
Gabrielle Raven Barren
Gabrielle Rayleen Barren
Gabrielle Rami Barren
What would you pick? any other suggestions for the middle? What do you think of Gabrielle?Wanting to be pregnant.

Aww. That's too bad, I loved Cecily with Addy's name! I know you've loved it forever, too--I remembered back when you were considering it on PC (spelled Sicily, though, right?). Maybe with time he'll come around?
I do like Gabrielle a lot, though, and the nn Ella.
Addy and Ella are really cute together! My favorite is Gabrielle Rachel! Although I'm sure you saw that coming a mile away, haha. I do like Gabrielle Reagan/Gabrielle Regan, though.
Good luck!Ashley

I think I like Gabrielle Rachel too, but I feel like all together its such a "safe name" kwim? But at the same time Raven just doesn't flow as well with it as it did with Cecily. And YES I use to spell it Sicily and was saying it like the place too. the "ess" sound grew on me though and I think it's so much prettier then the "iss" sound.
I'm glad I got rid of the Sicily spelling. haha.
I am still holding out for twins.
Then I can have both names. xD
What about Gabrielle Raya? hummmmm I need more Ray names, but there aren't a lot. lolWanting to be pregnant.

Gabrielle is a lovely name and it works amazingly well with your last name. Normally I prefer Gabriella, but it just doesn't sound as nice with Barren- I think it's the extra syllable. From your list, my favourite pairing is Gabrielle Raegan. Two other Gabrielle/R pairings I like are Gabrielle Rae & Gabrielle Raina.

Oh, lol sorry about that.
With the "Ray" middle name thing, I don't really want to use an R first name, but it was a good thought!
Rae we were going to save for a boy with the spelling Ray since that is DHs middle name. DDs middle name is Rain. Rayna though, means queen so while it sounds pretty simular, it does have a different meaning, so I have been concidering it with my "ray" list. I think it sounds nice with Gabrielle.
I've never heard of Raziela, how is that pronounced?Wanting to be pregnant.
