What do you think of this name?

For years I've tossed around the idea of naming a girl Taryn. I have two other girls Bridget and Paige, and wonder if this "goes". Something about it sounds dated or trendy to me but I'm curious what others think, so I can consider it or get rid of it!

I think it goes quite well with the other names. I knew a Taryn once, and I have to admit I had never heard of it before then and always thought of the name Karen when I dealt with her. Sadly I can't remember how I knew her now, but eventually I got used to her name. Anyway, if you like it, go for it!

Taryn is cute, but many will hear Karen. How about Trina, Daryl or Tristan?

I knew a few girls by that name growing up. One was my college roommate. Personally, I'm not a fan of it. Just don't like the sound or look of it. Sounds too much like Tar or Tear. Love Bridget and Paige, though. I so wish I could get my DH to at least consider Paige for a middle name for the baby!

I knew a Taryn when I was much younger, and she was not a pleasant person. In fact, since then Taryn has been rearranged in my head as Trashy. Besides that, the name seemed trendy (which I believe it was) and I don't like that it is an invented name. It doesn't have the substance or history that Paige and Bridget have. Sorry. I wanted to like it. =(

Not the biggest fan of Taryn, but I once really liked Tamryn.

I actually think Tamsin could be good for you. It has much more history as a name than Taryn, and I think it goes great with Paige and Bridget. I also happen to love the name!

I knew a Taryn in high school. I'm not a fan of the name, but I think it can work.

Funny you should say that because I think of D-list actress Taryn Manning and she is a little be trashy.

I think it is no where near as pretty as Bridget or Paige. I'm sorry.

I think it goes fine, but I like Bridget and Paige so much more than I like Taryn. I have known two little Taryn's I taught, and they were both cute, sweet girls, it's just not really my style.
