    what do you think of the name....

    Mirel

    It's the Yiddish version of Miriam. Pronounced Mi (as in miss) - ruhl (rhymes with full).

    Please share your thoughts... I'm due soon!

    It's different, but it could grow on me, I think. I think Miri or Mira would be cute nns.

    Hmm. Interesting. I like Miriam more, but Mirel is interesting! It sort of reminds me of Muriel or something. My grandfather's second wife's name was said MER-uhl... I wonder if it was related! I was young when they separated, so I'm not sure I ever saw her name written down...

    I like it. It's different but has a nice sound. I also like pp suggestion of Miri and Mira as nn.

    I like it! Yesterday I was playing around with the name Muriel, trying it with different vowels. Mirel looks similar to one I came up with randomly: Miriel. I like yours better.
