I have an 11-year-old Caspian and let me tell you, he gets LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS. There were 55 Caspians born in 2012, which is up a good deal from when my Caspian was named. We had THE worst time...

Wait, what? Man, I'm so behind the times. I don't get over here that much anymore.
First off, the repeating X sound in Atlas Erickson Fox is amazing. If you feel the need to make a...

1. Amara Sylvie - I really like how this one rolls off the tongue. Runner up: Amara Winter.
2. Sylvie Eloise - because I like Eloise, and it's such a tricky name to get into a combo. Sylvie is a...

This is what we call a "smoosh" name, because it has two names in it: Ethan + Nathaniel. If you think of two other boy names you like and combine them, you'll be able to come up with something that...
Freya Marigold and Wesley Peregrine are my favorites of the combos here. Lots of other really lovely names, too, but the flow/cadence/rhythm is off on some of the combos. Is it OK to mix & match...
Well, I still love Ragnar, but you have a great list going! You're right, Apollo would be pretty terrible for siblings...but maybe Atlas? The "mythological theme" is going to be pretty obvious --...
Oh, and now I see you replied while I was composing my message! Keep looking...some children are so easy to name and others are not! You'll find the one.
I super-love Ragnar, and I would love to see it come into use. I have pretty edgy taste, though. It does get some wide-eyed reactions IRL. My husband has it on his list, and he also loves Daphne...

Why not use just Dex? It would be a much more clear nod to the family name, without using Dexter. My three boys all have names ending in -an and it gets really confusing, so I wouldn't recommend. ...
I would suggest cross-referencing the most popular names of each nationality -- that way you will know which names are actually used in each country, and pick one that shows up on multiple lists.

Liv is one of my favorites! My husband never quite got on board with it, so we have an Eve.
With a one-syllable first name and a two-syllable last name, a three-syllable middle would change...

P.S. OP @micke165, you should win an award for the names in your signature because you have fantastic taste.
P.P.S. I followed your link and found your blog. That engagement photo is seriously...

Dulcinea is prn dul-sa-nay-ah or dool-sa-nay-ah - hear it at Forvo: "http://www.forvo.com/_ext/ext-prons.js?id=1067141"
Of your list, I picked Dahlia because I LOVE that name and I never got my...

I think it would be lovely to acknowledge your husband's side of the family with Linnea's name, since Elora got a family name from your side. As long as it didn't cause "political" problems or...

Elora and Linnea are a PERFECT sister set!
For the middle name, I did notice the EE initials and wonder if you wanted to go with LL for the next one. Personally, I like Linnea Violet very much. ...

I was going to suggest Zelda, as I think that one could qualify as both "video game" and "vintage," but it sounds like maybe you're not so keen on it. My husband and I have the reverse problem - I'm...

It's beautiful, but you're going to re-use Grace AND Maggie?
Esmeralda. It's SUCH a beautiful name, and Esme could be the nn! I can't get past Victor Hugo, though.
Hey, yep that's me: mommy of Dulcinea nn Daisy. Basically everyone says that Daisy is JUST SO ADORABLE. Some people seem surprised to see it in use, which is interesting because Daisy has ranked in...
It's that sort of fusty, old, proper, delightful name that has just edgy enough for a comeback. Nowadays we're seeing plenty of old man names: Arthur, Walter, Henry, etc. We're also seeing a good...

Sticky: Cute, cute, cute set.
Cute, cute, cute set.

Congratulations! Great name -- I especially like the nod to family in the initials.

Well, Magnolia is a kind of tree, too. It's just more associated with its flower. I don't think the theme went over the top, it's just that Elowen and Willow have so many of the same sounds.

Yay! I thought those might be your favorites. OK so about the twin names: I think both are nice individually, and if you're into matching twin names, they are far and away better than ANYTHING on...
