I've thought of the auto/Otto thing too. Great advice to just use whichever comes first. My only concern is that we will have a girl next and name her Odette. Then if the 4th kid is a boy...
Some other boy names that I like are Hugo, Linus, Felix, Ansel, Warren... maybe less adventurous than our girl names but still somewhat off the beaten path. I have a hard time...
We are going to start TTC this fall, and I'm always thinking about names (obviously!), so I asked my husband what he would name a baby girl right now. He answered, "Odette". It's a name we've...
Eowyn for a Tolkien fan.
Rosamund is such a beautiful and rare name, it is hard to come up with sibling names (believe me, I know ;) ). Some names to pair with Rosamund:

I agree with Mischa, Leo has the same spunk as Jack. I vote for Leo! :)
and Eulalie/Eulalia! :)
Thank you for your kind comments and feedback! I love your son's name! We have Otto & Hugo on our list for boys. Similar naming styles indeed! :) We have German ancestry, so we seem to lean...

Otto is a great name! One we will use if we ever have a boy. Othello could be a possible long form, but I think Otto can stand alone. Good luck!
Thanks for all the feedback! I think that Minnie is probably the clear winner for nicknames. As far as the full names are concerned, it seems like everyone has a different favorite. Our daughters...
Augusta "Aggie or Augie" Fern
Lavinia "Viney" Violet
Wilhelmina "Minnie" May
I love the name Juno! It is close to Jane, but since it is a family name and a second middle I think it works. It's not just "Juno Jane". I like your Juno Cressida Blair combo, love Cordelia, and...

Don't know if you're an "Anne of Green Gables" fan, but I always thought Millie/Milly would be a great nickname for Marilla. If that's not your style, I think a "Rose/Rosie" name would be beautiful...
My favorite short and sweet name for a girl is Fern. Mae or May are great too! :)
Love the name Anneliese! Anna or Annie would work, but I love the German diminutive Liesl or Liesel. :)
@carysmarie- Thanks for your reply! Thanks for more love for Greta Fern! I feel like Fern is so beautiful yet underused.
@mischa - I agree, Greta Katharine, sounds the best. I thought of Greta Juniper and Greta Delphine, but I feel like the nature theme is too "forced" with those. I prefer if the names have some...
Poll: Middles for Greta
What's your favorite middle for Greta? Her sister's middles are Hazel and Louise.

Between Claire and Danae, I would pick Claire. I like the personal ties to the wedding song and the sound of Claire better than Danae. Do you like the name Delphine? It has Greek etymology and is...

@rollo - I think Vivienne Greer is an amazing combo! Just the balance that Greer needs, thanks!
@princessariel - Great thought about his picking out the name. Actually when we were coming up with...

Thanks Mischa! I always enjoy and value your input! Love the suggestions Guinevere, Giselle, and Gloria.
My dad's middle name is Neal. Which would give me Nell, Noel/Noelle, and Nephele as...

I would love to honor my dad in naming our next child. If it is a girl though, I am having a hard time coming up with an appropriate honor name from Gregory. This name would most likely be used in...

I wanted Winnie and DH wanted Ellie for a nn for our Elowen. He won, kind of... we call her Ellie Lou (middle name is Louise).
A nn that hasn't been mentioned is Lo or Loie/Lowie (rhyming with...
Rosamund Pike in Pride & Prejudice was the first time I heard the name. Of course I'm biased, but it's a great name and has served our daughter well. Her nickname is Rosie but we also call her...
