what about Ellery? Ellery Jean is kinda awesome.
i know a Hamish, i think its a great name. Hes the only Hamish ive ever meet, but no one has ever made fun of his name. I say use it!

maybe Mett? depending on the middle name you could use letters. E.J for example. With that said, I personally don't think EM is too feminine.
