A few days late, but I stumbled across your thread. First of all, Penelope is right on trend so I have a hard time seeing how a little girl would not like it...and the wonderful nicknames.
I like Cora the best with your sibset for sure!
Thank you for your feedback. Exactly what I needed to hear for the final push.
Mireia is beautiful. I had never heard of that one before!
I do not think Mira Mathilde is too hard on the tongue. As long as your last name is not M heavy. I am not entirely sure on pronunciation of Mathilde, but from what I understand the stress is on...
I agree that both of your style of names seem traditional/classic. Yours possibly a little more in the on trend classic, and his timeless classic. The suggestions so far are great.
I posted last fall about the name Miriam with the nickname Mira, and asking for help in convincing DH that Miriam was THE name if we were having a girl. Well, it is a girl! However I could not...
I think Mira works well. Has international flair, and roots in many different cultures.
Mira and Liam.
Sigh... I want to name our baby girl Miriam so bad. My DH just does not like it. My Miriam would be Mira, but I love Miri and Mim too! Lovely, lovely name!

I agree, great combo. Wish I could get my DH to like Pearl...it is a favorite!
Not really a long form, but I love the name Nessa as a stand alone name with Nessie as a cute nn. I also think it fits well with your kiddos names: Auria, Waverly, and Nessa. There is also Agnes?

I was at Walmart today, and I always let my DS look at toys. While he was looking at trains and cars, I found myself looking at the dolls in the same aisle. They have this line called Mooshka, and...

Jane is so lovely and classic. There are going to be weird name associations for any name, and the ones you mention are not bad. :)
@missv I do love Naomi as well! You obviously have goo taste in names. Does your Miriam go by any nicknames?
@iamamiam I love the star association too. How cool!
I love the name Claudia. I think of the artsy, hip Claudia from the Babysitter's Club book series. My favorite as a pre-teen. Apparently, Claudia is also thought to be the name of Pontius Pilate's...
@mimiottawa Yea, I like Mara, but mentioned it has strong associations with death. :( The Mara Jade is apparently from the books, not the movie.
@bibliophile Your post pumps me up. I am so...
Thanks ladies! I am pretty sure I can talk him into Mira as a stand alone name. He really likes Mara, but it has a lot of associations with death, evil, nightmare. I can't handle that :) I really...
I agree on needing a full name for Sadie :( Otherwise it is perfect.
Sylvia nn Sylvie
Matilda nn Tillie
Camille/a nn Millie or Cami
Evelyn nn Evie
Katherine nn Katie
This is super long, but if you like the Swistle names blog, this is right up your alley :)
We are expecting our second child next year, and I think I have found THE girl name. I just need to...
I feel almost the exact same way you feel about the name Simon about my DS' name...but have recently fell in love with Simon if we were to have another boy. Our DS is Levi. Simon and Levi? It...
I like Sawyer and Reid the best as well.
And even if Finn sounded good with your LN....it makes me think Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Maybe not so bad, but just a thought :)
Thanks for the feedback! Advice on the Nameberry boards is the best. I also have a name that needs pronunciation correction all the time, which is why I was concerned. However my name is way...
The name Olin...There are few boys names I love, but this is one of them.
With the name Owen skyrocketing, would he be doomed to always saying "It's Olin with an 'L'"?
My DS is Levi, and most...
