I was going to be Gillian if my mom had her way when naming me however my dads choice won. If I had been a boy it would have been Henry.
For my own children:
Edmund was going to be Edmund James...

I really love Mila. It's so pretty and feminine without being frilly. It's also a bit spunky. Who cares if it's a tad on the trendy side? I love Mila Sage. Followed by Mila Juniper.
I know what...

I am completely in love with Viggo Mars. I've always loved Mars for a middle though. I like the look and sound of it, it has strong visual imagery for me like outer space beauty and...
Congrats! I absolutely love her name. I'm also a huge fan of floral names, I'd love to have two in my name! And it has so much meaning which makes it even more beautiful.
This is a bit of a late announcement but five weeks ago on April 27th we welcomed our team green baby to the world,

I still can't believe she's here. My husband and I...

I'm really falling in love with Simon out of no where.
Our first is Edmund James. James is about 5th generation on my side. So we are hoping to use one from DH side. Oliver...

Simon or Rhys?
We are team green with our second. We are pretty set on Josephine Poppy for a girl.
Other names on our short list for boys:
How do people get past the Braxton-Hicks connection?? I think its a really unfortunate name for that reason.
Blake is really nice. Its classic, and not super popular. It sounds crisp and preppy.
Thanks for the list, your list is spot on names I love. Pretty much if I could get him to agree on any of these I'd have it made! Love Hugo, Miles and Ivan or Ivor so much. Although there is a little...
I'm due in April. We are team green but strongly suspecting this is another boy. We are all set and wildly in love with our girls names (she will either be Josephine Poppy or Poppy...
A warning about Calix, while this is a part of a flower its also part of the kidney that collects urine. I hear Calix and I immediately envision kidney...
I like Henry, its cute on a little guy and dashing on a grown up man. Clark is growing on me though I have to admit. I like the one syllable names for boys, but i just find Clark is a bit harsh.

I think they all sound sweet with your other kiddos. Felicity sounds the best to me, followed by Penelope then Matilda. I really love all three of these names. That being said Matilda Felicity the...
I don't think Silas works well sorry. It's just the las is to repetitive for me with Silas. It sounds a bit like a kids book character name or something. Cyrus? It's close.
I think Lia is fine...

Immediately thought of Castor. Like the oil.
I like Silas with Roman. Phineas is the next choice. The names ending in n are a bit too matchy to me. Although style wise Roman and Lachlan fit well.
I find Phineas a bit geeky but I...
Thanks for the votes!
We have been pretty set on Josephine Poppy. My family hates Josephine and actually surprisingly are in love with Poppy as a first name. I'm not changing my choice based on...
Poll: Josephine, Poppy, Violet
Which do you prefer for a first name?
Thanks everyone for your thoughts. very helpful.
We likely would never call him by a nickname anyway. We call our son Edmund strictly by his full name. That's how both our families have always...
Hi brilliant berries!
We are in search of a boy name for baby #2. My husband has always liked Arthur. I've never been big on it but mostly cause I don't care for nicknames Art or Arty. I came...
Team green, but I'm sure it's a boy again! Due April. We're having a hard time agreeing on a boy name.

When I was in elementary school I loved Francesca, Valentina and Brigitta (from sound of music ). And I was totally in love with the Anne of Green Gables/Road to Avonlea names Felicity, Cecily and...
Agreed. Knox river sounds like something you'd find on a map. Knox Everett is much better. I prefer something really classic with Knox, like Knox henry, Knox Thomas etc.
