I also generally hate the use of Silence and Chastity. But the argument that I don't know what my daughter will be like goes both way. I don't know if she'll be a feminist atheist or a nun so these...
I'm looking for virtue names for the second middle spot on my two girl choices. I'm looking for things not as common as Grace/Hope/Faith but more along the lines of Amity/Verity etc.
What do you...
@larkub101 and uniquenamelover and coco1010 ~ I get it. I know it's not everyone's thing, but my wife is German and we have a connection to the saint. It's only one of two girls names we're choosing,...
-bonfireazalea- Thank you. I wasn't sure what else to put other than classic as far as information went. Classic but underused would be nice. We like:

I like it too. There are three different saints named Damien -- Damien of Molokai, Damien Nam Myong-hyok, and Damien Yamiki -- so I don't understand why only Damian is considered a saint name. There...
One of our two girl choices is Hedwig. We know it's very unusual but we love it, it's a saint name, and we think Heddie is a great nickname, Iggy is cute too.
Now we need classic middle names to...
I think of the X-Men character too. :ugeek:
I do really love it for a middle name though. If it's used as a first name, Julie is a good normal nickname. Bee is cute and Lee is tomboyish.
Poll: Which name?
I'm trying to decide between Bartolomeo and Bartholomew. I am Italian, so Bartolomeo isn't too odd, but with a brother Gabriel?
So which do you think sounds better in the combo and with a brother...
I don't know enough about the story to say it works or not, but it's a good title. :)
Here's my contribution
Burning Up Starlight
On My Own
Cassius is winning by a lot! Just so you all know, all the firsts are saints. They're arranged in order of oddness. Since this might be our only biological child we figured we might go all out.
Poll: Opinions, please
I haven't had a lot of luck on this site so far. People don't really seem to want to respond so we've been working on our combos on our own. Now, if it's not too much trouble, we'd like some opinions...
Better get my psychologist coat on :)
Synesthesia is a disorder is a condition where one thing, like taste, connects in the brain with another thing, like sight. So the taste of beef might make...
Yes, sorry. Cassius I'm saying cass-ee-us. It's the normal pronunciation where I'm living.
Thanks for the opinions so far. :)
Thank you for your opinion. It's appreciated.
Anyone else want to give theirs?
For Cassius, we've decided on Cassius Joseph. Now we need to decide on a virtue name.
Here's some choices and it'd be great to get some opinions. Last name is Blackwood.
Cassius Joseph Verity...

Thanks! Bartolomeo would be bar-tol-oh-may-oh. Tol like tall.
So far I'm liking Alexander, William, Joseph, Arthur, Nathaniel (though I like Nathanael a little more), and Matthew.

What we ended up with on our boys list is Cassius, Bartolomeo, and Wulfric. They are all saints and we like them all for various reasons. Cassius is unusual but not unheard of and we both love Cass....
OK, he liked Valor. So he's unofficially Gabriel Benjamin Valor Blackwood. :)
Now I'll take all the rest of these and work with the other boy names on our list for this baby.
-Ashley- I really like Justice and Honor in there.
-Maggie- Valor sounds really nice. Thanks for the link.
-Kirsten and mischa- Prosper is nice. I had Prospero on my list...
I've already got Noble, Loyal, Brave, and Truth on my list. I'm looking for other virtue names that could be used on a boy. Anything normal or unusual or whatever.
It's going to be a second...
I'm so glad that some of you think it's a good idea. I came on here fully expecting to have someone yell at me about it and tell me how terrible it was. *whew*
If anyone else wants to give an...
Gabriel is old enough to help out with the name talks between Mary and I and recently we've been talking about what we're doing for middles. We've got a loose list of first and Mary wanted to talk...

I think lots of these are usable.
On the girls list, I removed Lilith. That's it. I'll list my comments on which I think should be middles.
On your boys, I removed nothing.
