I like it! I usually like alliteration. If the first two letters were the same, like Frankie Freeman, then I might say no. Finnegan is a cool name. I would go with it.

I don't think they are too close. We actually have rhyming names on my side of the family (not done on purpose) and a few -belle/-bella names on my husband's side. It has never been a problem.
Other than Sophie, my favorites are Phia/Fia and FiFi.

I thought I had made up the name Isalena (pro "ee-sah-len-uh"), which I love because it would honor 3 people in my family (Isabel, Lisa, and Glenn- it's a combination of their names).
