Love the name! My mother's name is Adrianne, which I prefer this spelling. I think it every so slightly changes the end pronunciation to "anne" rather than "en", which to me falls short. I always...

I would have to say Louisa is the winner in my mind hands down. Partly because it's also on my short list should we ever have a second girl, which makes me biased. But I think its so under used right...
My sister actually has this plan, to name their first girl and first boy with our parent's names as middles. Her reasoning is that each child will get the surname of the father (and obviously...
Got our ultrasound this morning and everything looks good! Due date still May 29th and baby's got a strong little heart beat. S/He even waved a little! So strange and exciting all at once. At least...
I haven't seen any May babies in here yet, so I'll throw my hat in the ring. Unofficial due date is May 29th, but won't know for sure until we get our first ultrasound next week!
The emerald is the birthstone for May, the pearl is for June.
What about Esmeralda or Esme?

I'm a huge fan of R names myself. What about:
We would definitely use Rory, as I also love the name as is, we just like the possible nn Rex as well. But as I'm sure most of you know, nicknames can't always be predicted, so Rex may or may not...
I don't have kids yet, but TTC this fall! We have our names for a first girl and boy picked out. Boy will be Rory Lennox, with a potential for a nn Rex. But what I'm interested in, is finding a name...
My husband was stuck on the name Nalia since before we even started dating. I liked it at first, and then all I could think about was Nala from The Lion King. We have two very Irish first names, and...

I don't have kids either, but my husband and I have never felt any pressure towards names...just to make a baby to begin with, so we'll see! We personally want to find a way to connect our children...
Not too much of a difference in my realistic list vs. my guilty pleasure, might just get a little more adventurous with girls' middles, instead of honoring family.
I love Roland too, and I think the nn Ro would work well. Short and strong with "o"

I hate that Vespa is now so connected to the scooter. It's such a lovely name and makes my heart melt a little bit. I think Vesper is totally usable, but if you're looking for something a little more...

I had tons of fun with this, I came up with two lists. One with middles honoring family, and one with middles that all start with the first letter if my name, C.

What about honoring her through the meaning of the name, by using Pearl?
Thanks for the feedback!
Kala_way - I'm liking your suggestion of Royston, though I don't know if I could get the hubby on board. We're sticking with names starting with Ro for several reasons....
This is my first thread, so please be kind! My husband and I are planning to TTC at the end of this year, and I'll be honest, I've gone a little name obsessed. I know you can't plan for exactly what...

This isn't necessarily offensive, just a little disappointing in how they've described Royce for a boy (Make up your mind: Roy or Reece, but not both.) but somehow it's totally appropriate and "cool"...
I will say that I have a very soft spot for Isolde because I love the meaning, and was in the process of trying to convince my husband that we could use it as a middle name.....until I said it out...
