I honestly don't think I'd mind naming kids after fictional characters (eg. Hazel/ Augustus) UNLESS the character is evil or has other bad associations.
Ophelia from Hamlet (definitely one that has...
I love the name Florence, very elegant with a vintage twist. It's also the name of a beautiful city.
Theodora is such a cool name too and I'm sure she will grow into her fabulous name!...

I don't think it matters. Besides, if they grew up to dislike the rhyminess of their names then they could always go by Lillie and Viv. I don't know if you like those nns but I think they sound...
Congrats! Ziva is beautiful. Viola is top of my list of girl names, so I would love to know the other girls middle names too. Also which way do you pronounce Viola? Hope you don't mind me being...
Guinevere is my favourite of the three. Eurydice Mary doesn't flow well at all, and I feel like the styles clash a bit. Also it's quite a complicated, hard-to-pronounce name that doesn't have any...
Meh. It's not my style and I feel like it would get confused with Brady a lot. It also reminds me of gravy, sorry. But then again I don't like most surname names and most people on here seem to love...
I know you've probably looked up a lot of names but could you look up Viola and Arianwen for me please? (not sure if this one will be there:/)
This thread is an absolutely wonderful idea!
I wouldn't use it, but it's cute in the middle. I love the idea of Birdie too!
The main problem for me is that if you search "Dove" on google, the first result is the toiletry brand. I wouldn't...
I agree with you about Vicky, it really annoys me! I have a friend called Isobel who hates the nn Izzy and teachers always try and call her that.
Charlie (for Charlotte)
It's funny because I've never thought of it having an alternative pronounciation (I say CLAR-uh). The only Clara I've ever heard of is Clara from Doctor Who, who pronounces it CLAR-uh.
I much prefer Lena but Alina "Lina" is prettier than Marlena which is NMS. Lena sounds sophisticated on it's own, without a full name, but if you want a full name I love pp's suggestion of Elena.

If I saw it on a class roster, I would be very surprised to see a girl answering to it, but then again I live in Australia and I am the sort of person who still finds Addison on a girl odd.

Congratulations! I am so happy so see Michaela finally spelled right, I absolutely hate all the misspellings around (McKayla, Mikayla etc.) Belén has such a lovely story attached to it too!
I like Vienna Lucille because it flows nicely and I think the styles compliment each other. I'm surprised more people don't use Lucille as a Lucy/Lucia alternative.
Vienna Tillie is cute but I...
Congratulations and what a beautiful name, so sweet and vintage! It reminds me of a garden as well because they are both sort of botanical names:D

I definitely wouldn't. I'd much rather honour my mother or someone else special to me, whether it's a family member or a hero.
I've never liked the trend, on boys or on girls, I've always felt it...

Eleanor Dianne and Henry Tate- Classic and strong
Clementine Elsie and Ezra Tobias- Slightly quirky and unusual
Charlotte and Henry is also nice but Charlotte is a bit popular for my taste. If...
Waaaaayy too word-namey sorry. And he would spend his entire life telling people that his name wasn't Adam.
I agree with pp about the Bear-a-niece thing and I think it will be constantly mistaken for Bernice. The two "ren" sounds do seem to clash as well.
On a brighter note, Wren is ADORABLE and I really...
I like Ness/Nessa/Nessie and I don't think the Loch Ness Monster is a huge thing anymore but it DOES sound a bit dated to me. I'm not saying it's not usable, Ness is spunky and fresh to balance it...
Of course I hate made-up spellings and names, like most people on here but a name I have an irrational hatred of is Nora. Actually Norah is worse. I feel like I should like it, it's classic,...
I agree with pp about Elizabeth Rose being boring, Rose is a big filler middle and Elizabeth is actually quite popular.
While there is nothing wrong with Rosemarie I slightly prefer the Rosemary...
Sorry, but I don't think it works. It's going to make things a bit difficult for teachers calling her name at school, though Elise is nice.
Have you thought about...
Alice (not perfect flow...
Firstly, I have nothing against two middle names. The names in my signature may not have them but I will probably end up giving my kids two middle names just because there are soo many names I love!...
No just no. I don't mean to be rude, but you wouldn't name a boy Eleanor Michael, would you? It sounds ridiculous. It is an extremely sexist trend which I absolutely detest. I don't think that adding...
