I love that you added why you like/dislike these names. As much as I may love or loathe a particular name, the reasoning behind someone choosing a name can sway me either way. :)

Not my style:
I personaly will usually take a name off my list if it doesn't having a special meaning to me. I am always disapointed when I ask someone why they chose a name and the answer is, "we just liked it."...

I prefer Delphine by far. I have never met a Daphne, but I can't picture someone serious with the name. I also agree with you about the "ffff" sound in Daphne.
