My daughter's Evelyn, nn Evie (EE-VEE). I think you're going to get a lot of people saying, "Oh, is that short for Evangeline?" Just be prepared for that.

Willa's a cute nn to Wilhelmina. Willa and Poppy. :)
Poll: Eleanor or Eleanora?
DH likes Eleanor; I think adding the "a" freshens the name, gives it a little punch and makes it stand out more. Thoughts?
Odd question: Cameron and Taylor are both unisex names. Would you want to continue that trend with your daughter? Like with Rowan/Rowen, Riley or Quinn?

I picked Miriam, but I was close to selecting Elizabeth. I feel Elizabeth would fit in with the rest of your kids' names better.
If we have a boy, we're probably going to name him Henry. It's a good name as is, but when it comes to a nickname, I like Han (yes, like Han Solo...) Husband doesn't like that so much and prefers...
I've been pronouncing Emmaline as Emma-LEAN. I never considered the pronounciation Emma-LYNN. But that definitely sounds too close to Evelyn!
Btw, Evelyn's nn is Evie, pronounced Ee-vee, if that...
My friend has a two-year old named Clara Grace. I think that works very well together. For a second mn, how 'bout
Clara Grace Adele
Clara Grace Autumn
Clara Grace Etienne
Pregnant with #2. Too soon to know the gender. We have a daughter at home now, Evelyn Vi. We have the boy's name picked out, but we're stuck on two girls' names. We like the nn's Emma and Ellie, but...

I think "Elsie Kathleen" is an awful lot of EE-sounds put together. I also think Elsa is stronger.
These are some wonderful names! I don't think Husband will go for any of them, but I appreciate the uniqueness. Keep 'em coming!
I think Lissie is better than Lizzy, but I think Lizzy works fine. If that's what you call her, then people will follow suit. Heck, if Johns can be nicknamed Jack and the world's been fine with that...
Our sixth-month-old daughter is named Evelyn Vi. Now, we're pregnant again. We don't know the gender yet, but we have our boys' names all worked out.
The girls' names we have set aside are also...
I agree completely with Bailey, and do you know what dog names I've heard over and over in the past six months? Sydney and Sadie.

I'm not against "Skye" or "Aspen" in general, but for some reason the names you suggested are not jiving with me now. I agree with other Berries' thoughts that "Aspen" sounds more like a MN; I agree...

I like your thought on "Quarry" vs "Pebbles". Other code names that I've tried to find real names for are "Jackal", "Crow" or "Raven", or anything else pertaining to felines and canines--domestic or...

These are some great suggestions, and I appreciate your help! I'm worried that some of these names might be a little "on the nose", if you get my meaning. I did consider "Catherine", or some variant,...

In my series I'm having a mini series offshoot with three young women--twin sisters and their cousin--who decide to be come thieves in a way to find the nemesis of the entire series. One is in London...

These are wonderful, wonderful tips and suggestions!!
As it stands, there are about seven or eight planets that are discovered, but some of them are not as charted/civilized as others. I've been...
Great list! I jotted a few of those down! :) A few villain names of my own:
Fyodor (a form of Theodore)
I like Leila. Although I don't like the idea of changing a name just because it means something different. Perhaps that's what sets that character apart from the rest! I have a dark-haired character...
Squeeee! Excited about this... I'm biased, though, as the mid-1800s Wild West/Americana sub-genre is one of my all-time faves!
I don't really have any Victorian suggestions for you, although if I...

My issue is whenever I hit a writer's block or get bored with a story, instead of working on writing exercises or just plowing through the obstacle, I start a new story. It doesn't help to get...
Wow--that's quite a request! Um... can you narrow that down a bit?? :)
I know that the home page of Nameberry.com has the "what are people looking at now?" grouping that you can use for starters....
