I was just about to respond to that too; I love About a Boy! It was the first 'grown-up' film I watched (I was like, 8?) haha; I watch it with my parents every couple of years now. I want to read the...
I could literally talk ALL DAY about films/filmography etc. - so I'll try to keep this post to a short list of favourites, and a few I watched recently and liked, in no order;
1) The Virgin...
My 'proper' first kiss was on New Years Eve too (last year/this year? Either way I was still 16) and it was in the churchyard for some reason, with a guy I kinda knew from school.
It felt lovely...
I know a family of 5-ish (honestly I only met them briefly, there may have been more) and I can't fully remember all their names but they're all in the lines of Eliana, Elijah, Elias, Elicia and...
I would say it MAR-LEE-nah, whereas I would assume the German MAR-LAY-NAH pn of Marlene.
I do like Marlene said mar-LEEN too.
I have a friend called Lyria! She's never met another one, almost everyone she meets tells her they've never heard it before. It's lovely though. I don't think Lyria isn't unprofessional (but please,...
Gwen or Nell were my immediate thoughts. Just down-to-Earth and vaguely 'farmy'. I guess Nell would first best in your double-letter-thing.
Tessa/Tess would be nice, but probably too similar to...
Faye and Edith/Edie are beautiful sisters! June is nice but I find it quite dull in comparison.
I know a Faye with sisters Alice and Isla (very Nameberry; but they're all in their teens now), and...
I'm usually not a fan of male names for girls but I like Denver a lot for the Beloved reference (a brilliant character).
I absolutely love Denver Sofia and Denver Madeleine. I think you'd make...
I dunno... if anything I'd spell it Yva (I know a girl with this name, her mum is French and also calls her Yvie).
Vetta is pretty, maybe Ette/Etta?
It's okay, not really my thing. I kinda like Therese for The Virgin Suicides reference.
I know a Teresa (tuh-RAY-sa, named after a Portuguese grandmother) who goes 100% by Tess. It works.
I ADORE Virginia, but this is the reason it's 100% a GP for me. I just don't think the concept of virginity is a particularly healthy 'value' to name your child for. And lets keep it real it does...
I would use whatever in the first spot, and Harley as a mn (it's nms but there's nothing bad about it, I could easily fall in love with it if it had personal significance).
Estella, Cordelia and Jemima.
Billie, May and Eilidh.
I would never use matchy/themed names for any multiples.
This was hard but I went with Cordelia.
It's one of my favourites, it has everything I look for in a name; so Celtic(!), Shakespearean(!), means 'daughter of the sea'(!), beautiful nicknames...
I rarely reply to this; but I met a Trudy my age! A 17 year old Trudy!
Also, a little Scout. I met her a few years ago when she was a baby and disliked her name then, but now she's a crazy 5 year...
Look, you're going to have to do better than that. You're not the first troll around here nor are you by any means the greatest.
It's clear you like names, and you'll be welcomed here for whoever...
I don't like it honestly. Aesthetically it's beautiful and of course the songbird is a lovely namesake so in theory I like it. I just don't find the sound to be all that pretty. It's #807 in the US...

Comments like that make me want to actually PULL MY HAIR OUT. I literally cannot even begin to imagine that sort of mindset.
I think Hadley is cute.
Hadlee would confuse people, but I think it may actually be the old English spelling. I would still go with Hadley.
Can't believe I didn't think of Kate in the middle; I love it! Audrey Kate is brilliant, I also have a friend called Eliza Kate which I think is beautiful.
Audrey Eleanor is pretty. Noelle isn't...

Mina is beautiful. My first thought was Mina Miriam (wonderful with Ruth Hannah), but I don't know how you feel about alteration? Otherwise; classic A name that's not Alice/Anne...
Annabelle Rose, Charlotte May and Madeleine Grace...
Adelaide Faye, Adelaide Claire
Eleanor Iris, Eleanor Maeve
Cecilia Ruby, Cecilia Anne
Isabelle Eve, Isabelle Lucy
I love love Oona and although it's not my style, Anouk is beautiful.
Not from the US but I can't see where you'd have much trouble, of course they're not totally familiar but they're both...
