I know a Raine who isn't nature-oriented or hippie-ish at all. I think the French spelling makes it more of a human name and less of a noun, if that's what you're looking for.

Row-een-a is one of my absolute favorites. However, if you're looking for Ro-wenn-a, I think that the Rowenna spelling is actually established, and I don't see it as a creative spelling.
