This is hard. While Bradley is an OK name for a male, it just sounds unattractive for a female.
Could you give her a name that starts with a B and then have Meadow be her middle name? I love the...
[QUOTE=addisoncar;2329821]Our dog, My brothers and I are probably getting 1 or 2 male Golden Retriever puppies!
Current frontrunners are Jonah, Salix, and/or Ogden.
I've been thinking about...

You are right. I never considered people naming avatars in steam games! That comforts me.
I guess I am thinking even more of the forums in which people say things like How is Herbert for a Girl?,...

I think the average nameberry takes great pains to choose a wonderful name for her child and is more well-informed on the subject than most people.
That being said, there are certainly a lot of...

I probably am taken in by the fakers every time! Many of the names put forth are outrageous, so my ability to discern fakers is probably gone!

My kids don't get why parents would name their daughters Charles or Michael or Stanley.
Or names like Noble, Truth, etc.
And many more.
But other names they love or like or think cool.

Shaking my head increasingly at some of the names appearing on nameberry, I wonder how many folks are doing these two reality checks with each name they are thinking of giving another human being:
Emmeline is a fine girl's name.
Marlowe is a male name. Some names work for both genders. In my opinion, this is not one.
And Marlow without an e is to me misspelled.

Harvester is like Tractor.
But for some time now, I have loved the word Harvest as a name. Could be male, but I don't fancy Harvey.
I like it as a female name, with (gasp!) no discernible...
I think I forgot Bonnie, Blythe, Lillian, Sue, and Elsie.
Sounds like Dane Clyde and Fenton Reginald have few fans - curious if it is the names themselves or the configuration/sound?
It's affirming that my favorite choice (Graham Robert) is the most...
Oh yes, definitely Garland and also Susie.
I notice that many names which give me a feeling of contentment and rightness are called by nameberry "pleasant".
The older I get, the less I value drama and the more I value pleasantness.

Ezra and Bertram are two favorites of mine.
I prefer Blyth with an e and for a girl.
While I like Brannon, Breccan sounds to me harsh.
This is heartening! Susan, Ida, Carolyn. and Rosemary are four of my biggest favorites.
Because I teach high school students and my young (step) grandkids live a good distance away, I have very...
Thanks for the idea, but I do teach high school English and Creative Writing. Most of my students are 16-18 year olds and one of my classes is virtually all males. I care about those dudes a lot....
Poll: Seven Brothers
Even though I did not get to bear children and have two babies in Heaven (Owen Michael Russell and Cordelia Elizabeth Marjorie), I still continue to plan six more male names.
What I would do...
Have to ask, what is an ice pole? :)
Yes, I am English in origin and have often wished my ancestors had never left!
There are some lovely newer sounding names being used now. I just wish for a greater variety of names to be used. I...
Patricia, Polly, Dolly, Laurel, Lolly, Holly, Christine, and Mercy.
I never thought I would be saying this but I am ready to meet a little Susan. Or Sue.
Or Carolyn, Deborah, Joan, Shirley, Sandra, Doris, Thelma, Helma, Peg, Barbara, or Carol.

Dislike Jada spelled any way.
I think it is used a lot, but it has a lovely look and sound.
Zara is OK, but I prefer Zoe. Zara sounds a bit like a fortune telling gypsy carnival act.
Waverly should be pretty but...
Archibald is a GREAT name!
And with a nickname like Archie, no crust there.
Or Archer, which is a bit trendy, but is still a cool word.
God, give me an Archibald/Archie over a Breaker,...
