I think Louis goes great! It has two syllables and is classic, masculine and simple. It also fits well with Daniel. I was going to suggest Jack but then I remembered the middle name haha.

I really like Nolan just because it isn't heard as often as say, Charles or Lucas. However I like the nn Charlie, I think it's so adorable.
Otherwise I like Simon and Grant!
If you like reading and literature and your husband likes music you could always name your baby after an influential literary character that you loved or a musician he feels is meaningful to him!

I don't think they're clunky at all! I personally wouldn't want two girls to have -a endings and one to be different but thats just me and I can be quite picky.
