Almost all my favorite girl names end in A (Veronica, Cordelia, Fiona, Eliza, Susanna, Helena, Winona), and I seem to really like boy names that begin with D (Dexter, Dean, Dominic, Damian, Damon).

Definitely prefer Jett to John/Jack/Jude etc, and LOVE Jett Thomas GreekSurname.

Glad most people seem to like this "non-smush smush." I typically don't care for smushes myself.
Lol ... nope, won't use my dad's middle (Ralph) and can't use SO's dad's middle (Alan) because I...

My SO and my father were both given one grandfather's name as a first and other's as a middle. I kinda like it because it's a very strong connection, but on the other hand, I'd really like to use...

I like Beatrix Ivy or Beatrix Irene over Beatrix Isla/Iris/Isadora/Isolde/etc because they all have strong S sounds which clash with the X in Beatrix IMO.
I agree with pps. Aislinn is a lot better and less trendy than Ashlyn.
Personally, though Lucy doesn't have the clashy -a ending, Tessa has a much better feel with Giovanna. I think Lucy and Giovanna clash style wise instead of flow wise, and I'd vote style is more...

Daphne, hands down. Love Daphne Juliet. Very vibrant combo.

...L? Pearl ... not so fond of this one, it's just ok as a middle
I definitely don't see Helen and Iris as old lady names. They are gorgeous together.
Hm, greek mythology + "old lady"... I think of Helen, Iris, and Daphne. And it doesn't end with an 'a'! It's...

Oh I also like your tastes. Quite different, but I think you could find a happy middle. I like the suggestions of Sidonie and Rosalind.
If he likes Ada, though, why not Augusta? It was her first...

Early high school, I started loving it while reading Shamon King manga. Sill love it, though it's rising and now it's only my sixth favorite after Veronica, Cordelia, Gwen, Fiona, and...
Some are a little more out there:
I only went back to 1700-1800
Helena not only sounds like Eleanor, they are related. Both are forms of Helen. Too bad, because I like like Eleanor best with your set. Lady names, I would say. Helena is a lady, Scarlett is a lady,...

1./2. had some of this for my the weirder names I like... Misha/Emrys/Nimueh. Don't think I'd end up using them, though, so its never bothered me much.
3. My family doesn't know. I think my...
Maternal grandfather: Frank
Maternal grandmother: Martha Jane
(they divorced and got remarried, I only know my step-grandfather Phillip Conrad)
Paternal grandfather: Charles Arthur

I'm 21 and my family does not know, though I have had quick discussions with friends and my boyfriend occasionally reads over my shoulder. It isn't something I feel a need to hide because loving...

You mean that the Helen-ah pronunciation shares an -en sound with Gwen? Yeah, that's fine with me. The difference in the starter/ending sounds and the number of syllables makes it ok, I think. I tend...

I'm rounding out my top 3 girl names, which are currently Veronica Lenore, Gwen Cordelia, and Helena Daphne and I am trying to decide if Helena just has too many possible pronunciations to use.
Though there are a lot of girl names with 'a' endings. I seem to be especially fond of them. All but 1 of my top 10 for girls ends in 'a', the exception being 'Gwen'.
For boys, I have the...
I agree 100% with jesba. Rylee Grace is kinda generic-feeling since they are both so popular in each spot, and I personally prefer the Riley spelling. Riley/Rylee Geneva feels a little too place-name...

Gotta say I see Odin as more of a puppy name on the whole... Velvet, I don't particularly care for as a first name. Think it could be gorgeous in the middle, though. Thalia Velvet, Helena Velvet,...
